At Queen City Animal Hospital, we believe every person deserves to feel safe, welcomed, respected, and valued exactly as they are. Creating a space where our team and clients can show up as their authentic selves isn’t just a goal — it’s a commitment.

For many of us, Pride is personal. Two of our three owners and many members of our team are part of the LGBTQ+ community. That’s why visibility, acceptance, and belonging aren’t just values we post about — they’re ones we practice.

This month is a celebration, but our values don’t begin June 1st and end June 30th. We celebrate Pride every day. Thank you for being part of a community where everyone belongs. ❤️

We have a young duckling that was brought to us after potential contact with a car. Our doctors feel he can be transported to the kind people at in Indian Trail, NC to give him the best chance at life. 🐾 Help Us Support Brody & Kayden 🐾

One of our amazing veterinary assistants, Kayden, recently received heartbreaking news — his beloved dog, Brody, has been diagnosed with cancer. As many of you know, our pets are family, and Brody means the world to him.

Kayden is such a dedicated member of our team, and we want to show him the same love and support he gives every day.

Dr. Cline has created a GoFundMe to help with Brody’s medical care costs for CARE oncology. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, or even simply share this post, it would mean so much to Kayden and Brody during this difficult time.

On the last day of (week) 🦸 meet the Reptile Ranger!🦎🐍
Two years in and Dr. Schuljak has already cemented himself as QCAH’s resident reptile connoisseur — and honestly, we’re not sure he’s slowed down once since he got here.
From day one, Dr. Schuljak hit the ground running. He loves a challenge, dives headfirst into learning, and brings serious reptile expertise that not every practice can say they have. Bearded dragons, ball pythons, geckos — bring it on. He’s proof that enthusiasm and a willingness to grow make for one seriously excellent vet.
Two years down, a whole career ahead. We’re so glad he’s on our team. 💚🦎

Four years ago, Dr. Black joined the QCAH team — and we’ve watched her pour her whole heart into every single patient ever since.
Dr. Black has a gift for making both pets and their people feel truly at ease. She has a natural ability to meet each patient exactly where they are, taking the time to really listen, really connect, and really understand what that individual animal needs. Her clients leave knowing their pet wasn’t just treated — they were cared for.

Five years in and Dr. Diaz is still out here doing the most — and we mean that as the highest compliment.
Dogs? Cats? Rabbits? Reptiles? Amphibians? Fish?! Dr. Diaz sees them all, making her one of the most versatile members of our exotic superhero squad. But her powers don’t stop there. Dr. Diaz is bilingual, and she makes sure every Spanish-speaking client feels just as seen, heard, and cared for as anyone else who walks through our doors. That’s not just good medicine — that’s a superpower.
Five years of saving lives across species AND languages. We’re so lucky she’s ours. 🧡

She’s been part of for years, and now she’s part of the ownership team too — what a superhero origin story!
Armed with an endoscope, an ultrasound, and an unmatched enthusiasm for a good dental consultation, Dr. Cline is the kind of doctor who gets to the bottom of things — literally. She’s also one of the glues that holds this hospital together behind the scenes, making sure things run smoothly so the whole team can do their best work.

Happy World Vet Day (week!) to the one, the only — Dr. Hreiz! As one of the founders and owners of Queen City Animal Hospital, Dr. Hreiz has been part of this practice from the very beginning, helping build the team and the values we stand by every single day.
By day, he wields the powers of exotic medicine — from scaly to fuzzy, no species is too unusual. His patients know him as the Rabbit Whisperer (seriously, the bunnies just get him), and his teammates know him as the guy who never misses a chance for a well-timed joke.
We wouldn’t be QCAH without him. 💜
