6/1 Update: This guy is a fighter! He made it through the weekend, ate ravenously today, and was asking for loves! We have not had an owner come forward, so he has been named Kimi and we are committed to supporting him through his recovery. He may eventually need to have his left front leg amputated due to nerve damage but we are hoping with time he will improve enough to use it. We have not yet decided if he will be placed for adoption once fully recovered. He still has a long road to recovery ahead. Luckily, we are excited to be able to use some of the funds from our Angel Fund to help support his recovery! We are incredibly grateful to those in our community who have donated to the Angel Fund over the last year and a half which has allowed us to help over 50 pets in the community to receive appropriate care/treatment they otherwise may not have gotten, which in turn helps reduce the emotional burden of our team - Please consider donating to vets with Angel Funds within your communities, it truly does make a difference.
5/30 Update: He made it through the night and is responsive this morning enjoying pets. Prognosis is still guarded. We are still searching for an owner. He appears to have been well taken care of prior to his accident.
2:50pm Update: He has a broken jaw (has been repaired) and an injury to a front leg. He is stable at the moment but has some significant head trauma so the next few days his prognosis will be guarded until we see how he responds to supportive therapy.
We need your help! A Good Samaritan found this cat on the side of the road in front of the elementary school on Hurley School Dr. We believe he has been hit by a car. It is an intact male, lilac point domestic medium hair. Please share so we can try to locate his owner! 704-636-3408
