Heat stroke can happen FAST in dogs — and it can become life-threatening within minutes.

Hot weather, lack of water, and exercise in the heat are some of the biggest causes. Knowing the warning signs could save a life. 🐾

⚠️ Watch for:
• Heavy panting
• Thick saliva
• Restlessness or pacing
• Collapsing

🐝 INSECT STING? HERE’S WHAT TO DO 🐝
Curious noses + buzzing bugs = a common (and sometimes scary) situation.
Watch for these signs:
🐾 Sudden yelp or pawing at face
🐾 Swelling (especially around muzzle, eyes, or paw)
🐾 Redness or hives
🐾 Drooling or discomfort
👉 Act quickly:
✔️ If you can see a stinger, gently scrape it out (don’t squeeze!)
✔️ Apply a cool compress to reduce swelling
✔️ Keep your pet calm and monitor closely
🚨 EMERGENCY:
Difficulty breathing, vomiting, collapse, or severe swelling = get to a vet immediately (possible allergic reaction).
The difference between panic and action? Knowing what to do.

☀️The weather is getting hotter, so let’s talk about ways to keep your pets safe this summer!

1️⃣ Walk your dog during the cooler parts of the day — early mornings or later evenings are best!
The hottest part of the day is usually between 12 PM–5 PM, so try to avoid walks during those hours.

2️⃣ If you must walk your pup during warmer weather, stick to shady areas and low grassy spaces whenever possible.
⚠️ stay in low gras areas to watch out for snakes.

3️⃣ Dog booties can help protect paws from hot pavement, but remember to remove them immediately afterward. Pets release heat and sweat through their paws, so they need airflow to help cool down.

A hot day can quickly become dangerous for our furry friends, so always watch for signs of overheating and keep plenty of fresh water available! 💧🐶
