UPDATE! Lola’s foster family has decided to keep her! 💜

We are in a state of desperation and need the community’s help like never before. We have several dogs in our care that have been with us for a very long time. They need homes, or another rescue willing to help. Our fosters are exhausted and we are depleted. These are great dogs that just need a chance. Well Hello! Meatball here…for some reason, your messages to meet me haven’t come through. Seriously….you REALLY need to meet me. I know, I’m not the cute, fluffy, little dog that sits around and looks pretty. But here’s what I AM:l I weigh in around 60 pounds, and they call me a semi-lowrider…you probably know what that means. (I have cute short legs) Anyhoo, I loves my people and canine friends. The more the merrier. Not so crazy about bouncing balls and bikes in motion, but everybody’s got somethin they don’t like. I love adventures and really like to go on car rides with the kids. I do love my temporary family…they’ve been so good to me. And patient. It would be even better to go home for good. If you are active and love dogs, give me a shot. I’m really a good boy. Just leave a comment and contact info in the comments. I’m anticipating a lot of interest, so be patient while my people get back to you.

Meet Meatball—a fun-loving, affectionate pup with a big heart and even bigger personality! 🐶
Meatball adores people and gets along great with other dogs. Because of his enthusiastic and playful nature, he would do best in a home with older children (upper elementary and up).

Meatball loves canine companionship and would be happiest in a home with another active, friendly dog to play and burn off energy with. He’s incredibly affectionate and truly wants to be your best friend—expect lots of love, cuddles, and loyalty.

This handsome guy is very smart and highly trainable, but he’s also known to test his limits now and then. He’ll do best with a confident, consistent adopter who can provide continued training and clear leadership to help him be his best self.

Active adopters, take note: Meatball would make an excellent running or trail companion and would thrive with regular exercise and mental stimulation.
