If you had asked me even a few months ago if I’d ever close MuddyDOG Fitness, I would’ve thought you were a lunatic.

I fought this decision longer than most people realize. I’ve watched mobile dog gyms come and go over the years, and I was determined that wouldn’t be my story. I used to wonder what they learned that I didn’t — what made them step away.
After a lot of prayer and reflection, I’ve decided to close MuddyDOG Fitness, with my last day running dogs being February 27th.

This wasn’t sudden. It came after years of building something I’m incredibly proud of and realizing that running on empty for too long eventually catches up to you. The dogs were always the joy — that part never changed — but continuing without caring for myself no longer felt right.

This isn’t about failure or giving up. It’s about making space — for my health, my personal life, and the future I’ve been praying for, including a family of my own. If I was ever going to close this chapter, I wanted it to be on my terms, knowing I gave it everything I had.

Before we close, I will be running dogs on Saturdays based on interest. If you’d like to get a session in before February 27th, please reach out by texting 980-999-0845 or emailing [email protected]. Availability will be created based on responses.

This may not be a forever goodbye to dog fitness. For now, I’m choosing to pause, reset, and trust what’s next.

Thank you to every dog, every client, and every person who supported MuddyDOG Fitness. This chapter will always be one I’m proud of 💛

When I started MuddyDOG Fitness, there weren’t many people who looked like me doing anything like this. A Black woman showing up in neighborhoods with a mobile dog gym wasn’t the norm — but I believed in the vision anyway + didn’t let anyone talk me out of it.

Now, every mile, every client, every wagging tail is proof that faith, consistency, and courage can take you anywhere. 💪🏾🐾
