Beautiful Aloka - Dog of Peace. I am sorry I won't see him with the Monks today in Charlotte but am happy that he is recovering well. 💙

🐕 Many of us already know that our beloved Aloka the Peace Dog has a beautiful heart-shaped marking on his forehead—a natural symbol of love, compassion, and loving-kindness that has touched so many hearts.

Recently, some of our wonderful followers have shared with us an observation that warmed our hearts: they noticed that Aloka’s tail appears to form the shape of the letter “P”—as in Peace!

We were so touched by this observation. Loving-kindness and heart leading on his head, peace following with his tail. How beautiful is that?

Whether this is a meaningful sign or simply a sweet coincidence, we find it wonderfully fitting for the Peace Dog who has walked thousands of miles carrying this message alongside the venerable monks.

Loving-kindness leads. Peace follows. Aloka truly embodies everything this walk represents.

Jane Goodall loved dogs.

Ever wonder what the "magic sauce" of Service Dogs? It's the RELATIONSHIP! Yes...genetics and training and temperament are very important. But the Relationship and Unconditional Love and Trust we give to our SDs (and pet dogs) are the key. Dogs in general give us Unconditional Love and when they get that in return they will do virtually anything for you. 💜💜💜🐾🐕

Though I do not train working dogs like this, I adore watching these dogs work and seeing how much they love doing what comes naturally to them. It's artful and beautiful. Watch these 2 pups in action.
