Did you know we have crocs in Charlotte? Bruce found one on the trail. Thankfully, he approached the situation with extreme professionalism and immediately began a full investigation. Yesterday we got to play chauffeur and drop Bruce off for a day with his friends at Hounds Town. He’s a regular there, and we always love getting to see our friends when we drop him off.

If your pup is a daycare kind of dog, Bruce definitely recommends checking them out.

And obviously, no daycare drop-off is complete without a quick photoshoot first. Just a handsome boy heading in for a day with his buddies.

Another day of Bruce doing what he does best: taking his time. 🌿

Not every adventure needs to be about miles walked or how fast you get there. Sniffing, stopping, watching the world go by, and taking in the scenery are all part of the experience.

For dogs, sniffing is enrichment. It gives them information about their environment, engages their brain, and allows them to explore at their own pace. Sometimes the best thing we can do on a walk is loosen the leash and let them simply be a dog.

Bruce definitely understands the assignment. 🐾

Bruce said the heat was NOT going to ruin his Paws On Mountains adventure today. 😂☀️

With these Charlotte summer temps, we took it slow with plenty of shade, sniff breaks, water stops, and time to cool down. Sometimes the best adventures aren’t about how many miles you cover, but making sure your pup gets to explore safely and at their own pace.

And yes, Bruce’s using a portable water bowl that is Starry Night because hydration can be cultured. 🎨😂

Hot-weather reminder: always check the pavement, carry plenty of water, seek out shade, and watch your pup for signs that they’ve had enough.
