Top knot SUCCESS!

Thank you Donna Hilliard for sharing your pictures of Roxy! Donna has been a very active follower and shared with me picture and comments of her top knot after following my Top knot and Tail videos. She did an amazing job!!! Here is her comment!

Hi ! The top knot and tail went amazingly. We trimmed the bottom of her ears and ran a clipper comb thru the ears. It was just so thick. All went well except she does not let touch her front legs and paws. Any tricks?! Your videos have been so helpful. Wish Roxy sat like Rocko!

A hands free way to hold a hand held hair dryer.
I purchased this dryer from Sally’s Beauty Supply. It was the only one they had that had the exhaust on the side not back.

As promised! Ultrasonic cleaning of my filthy clipper attachment combs! So glad I purchased this machine!

Ultrasonic cleaner purchased from Harbor Freight for around $90.
Dawn cleaner
Water
Force dryer
Toothbrush
Towels to clean debris off.

Blade and tool deep cleaning!

I recently purchased an Ultrasonic cleaner for my blades and attachment combs. I am truly amazed at how clean they came out. I will be honest, this is very time consuming to do after every groom but every now and then your equipment needs a very deep cleaning.
You can put your brushes, combs, clipper blades, clipper comb attachments (and jewelry 😝). It is vital, though, to throughly dry immediately after to keep the metal from rusting.

I have a follow up video of my clip comb attachments which were extremely disgusting. I will post later this week.

Water

Flat head screw driver
Oster lubricating oil

The long awaited video on Clipper cleaning/maintenance!

Things to have handy for Cleaning.
An old towel
An old Toothbrush
Paper towels
Blade Cleaner (I am using Whitman Sharpening Clip and Dip/ ReDip, but any Blade Wash or Blade Cleaner will work)
Lubricating Oil (not Grease) I’m using Oster lubricating Oil
Flat Head Screw Driver
Clippers (Oster Volts)

For a chemical free cooling of the blades during grooming I use a Marble tile purchased from Lowes, Home Depot or any hardware store.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Do you have any resolutions?
While, I am a realist, I know I will not sustain any promises I make to myself because I know I will just disappoint… so no resolutions here.😉

Now that I am starting to use my shoulder I am hoping to start some kind of grooming in the next couple weeks or so, starting with Benjen. (Boy he needs it! he stinks!) I will try to take short videos while I am attempting it. LOL So while I cannot promise you I’ll post daily, just know I am going to “ATTEMT” do post regularly.

When I started this page, I had no clue what to expect. My main goal was to post easy tutorials for everyone to follow but focused on the Poodle owner wanting to either maintain grooming between professional grooming or to skip the professional groomer all together and do it on your own. I never expected the results, comments and support I have received. I am super humbled to see I have almost 930 followers/supporters. 🤯! I feel like, while I do not know any of you personally, we are all friends trying to achieve the same results. To groom our poodles safely and efficiently!

So while we close out 2022 and march into 2023 I want to THANK YOU ALL, my new friends. I am always here to answer any questions!
