‼️‼️‼️NC residents - this takes two minutes - please stand up for tethered dogs!‼️‼️‼️
Last month, a new House Bill was introduced in North Carolina which, if passed, would give lifesaving protection to dogs who are kept chained outside 24/7, exposed to extreme heat and freezing snow. This lifesaving bill is in critical need of your support to move it forward before the current session ends this Friday.
If passed, this bill would prohibit keeping dogs tethered outside when the temperature is above 85 degrees or below 32 degrees, as well as during hurricanes, tropical storms, and other dangerous weather conditions. There are so many chained dogs in North Carolina who need the vital protection of House Bill 1116 (the Fiona Mae Wagglebottom Act).
Show chained dogs they’re not alone by contacting the North Carolina Committee Senior Chairs today and urging them to support this bill! We hope for a future where no dog lives on a chain -- this legislation is a step in helping these dogs today.

As a resident of ______ County in NC, I'm reaching out today to urge you to support House Bill 1116 (Fiona Mae Wagglebottom's Act) to give lifesaving protection to dogs who are kept chained outside 24/7. If passed, HB 1116 would prohibit keeping dogs tethered outside when the temp is above 85 degrees or below 32 degrees as well as during other dangerous weather conditions.
I know firsthand the negative impacts that life on a chain has for dogs in our state. Chained dogs have frozen to death or died of heatstroke and this law could protect them from those terrible fates.
Please support House Bill 1116 (Fiona Mae Wagglebottom's Act) to give lifesaving protection to dogs who are kept chained outside 24/7, thank you.
