Bark Around Boston

Bark Around Boston Bark Around Boston and Ruff Life Resort, LLC, the non-traditional dog boarding service. We are an adventure based boarding service. i.e.

We proudly serve all of Greater Boston, Southern, NH and southern/central Maine. Bark Around Pet Services is a Ma and Pop style company. It was established by Danielle deWildt in response to a gaping hole in the pet care industry with-in Charlestown, MA. Danielle saw a lapse in available options for dogs with special needs, behavioral and medical. We are insured, bonded and certified through PSI,

Pet Sitters International. The launch of Bark Around was very well received and came out of the gate running. Danielle’s husband, Michael Resendes, ended up leaving his job with UPS to take on more responsibility with-in Bark Around. Danielle’s specialties include working with human and/or canine aggressive dogs, reactive dogs, dogs that require a structured outlet for their energy and diabetic dogs and cats (including insulin injections.) Michael’s specialties include working with senior and physically disabled dogs. Michael believes strongly in the power of touch and the energy it transfers between human and animal. He has a no-rush attitude that can be interpreted as soothing to dogs that struggle with loss of sight or hearing or suffer mobility inadequacies. We offer group outings based upon an animal’s abilities and comfort. An ideal situation would maximize a group at 4 dogs (including park adventures.) Special needs pets would go out individually or with 1 other dog. Our services: (if you don’t see what you need listed, please call so we can discuss your specific requirements. trips to groomer, vet, evening/weekend walks, etc)

Puppy Program - 2 twenty minute solo visits (one between 10am-12pm, the other between 2pm-4pm.) This program is designed to encourage appropriate house training behavior, training reinforcement and includes dispensing of meals, as requested. Solo Walks - 20min/30min/40min - These walks are reserved for dogs with medical or behavioral needs necessitating focused, individualized attention. All walks feature positive training reinforcement. Danielle will utilize “off-leash play” when deemed appropriate, either in a fully enclosed space or with the aid of a long line/training lead. Group Walks - 20min/30min/40min - These socialization based walks focus on appropriate leash and dog:dog behaviors. Groups are maximized at 4 dogs and we try to match dogs based on size and temperament. We utilize off-leash play when conditions allow. Play Group - 40-60min - An off leash play session, focused on dog:dog appropriate behavior and features work on recall in a stimulating environment. Playgroup is limited to 4 dogs each session. Overnight Care - Michael and I offer boarding in our home to your dog(s). In-home boarding is found to be less stressful to your pet and their immune system. Boarding is crate free, when appropriate. Our pick-up and drop-off service is very convenient to accommodate your busy schedule.

This is Penny. She is a 10year old Boston Terrier from Boston. She has spent more time along the US/Mexico border at Big Bend than many of the folks making decision to cause irreparable harm to this area. There is not a border crisis here. This is a harsh landscape that fosters a delicate ecosystem. There is natural beauty that must be respected and protected for the fauna and flora that lives here, for visitors now and in the future and for the seasonal animals that pass through on migratory routes. 🏜️

We camped for a week along the Rio Grande River, we were safe, knew there was border patrol and park employee presence without it feeling militant or restrictive to enjoying and fully experiencing the area. 🌸

Learn from the people on the ground at these places, don't take the word of office employees thousands of miles away with unclear agendas or cherry picking stories to be blown out of proportion to actual happenings. 👔

The United States has beautiful neighbors with Mexico and Canada. We share some of the harshest environments on these borders that are as deadly as they are beautiful. I highly encourage all of you to take a moment and explore these areas, whether in person or reading a book. Not appreciating what we have is the greatest loss and opening the Pandora's Box of invasive construction is irreversible.
