HEAVEN HELP US. WE NEED TWO FOSTER HOMES ASAP! 🙏
We were REALLY hoping these two adorable brothers would be able to attend tomorrow’s adoption event, but now we have another little situation on our hands!

🐾 FOSTER #1: Two 4-month-old brothers, 10–13 lbs each, fully vetted and neutered. We need ONE foster willing to take both boys!

🐾 FOSTER #2: Two 8–9-week-old puppies who JUST arrived, and surprise… they have RINGWORM. 😩

Ringworm is a treatable fungal skin infection, but it IS contagious, so these babies need a foster who can keep them separated from other pets while they receive treatment. We need ONE foster for both puppies ASAP!

Four puppies. Two foster homes. And a rescue team begging for a little help!

MEET BIGGS. 🤍
Big dog. Tiny maintenance department.

Biggs is a 96-pound,3-year-old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as he is. And considering everything this boy has been through, his story is a pretty incredible one.

When Biggs first came into rescue, he was in rough shape. He needed care, consistency, and someone willing to give him a chance.

And what a difference LOVE makes.

Today, Biggs is a beautiful, gentle giant who apparently missed the memo about all the usual Great Pyrenees shenanigans.

ZERO accidents in the house. Gentle on leash. Wonderful with kids and dogs. Completely ignores the cat. And barking? His foster has heard him do it exactly ONCE.

He’ll follow you around sometimes, but mostly? Biggs is perfectly content to just chill.

Even bath day was suspiciously easy! A huge THANK YOU to Emily at Island Dog Pet Wash & Market for giving this big boy some much-needed TLC!

His foster summed him up best:

“He’s not low maintenance. He’s NO maintenance.”

But Biggs has one final hurdle before he can put his past completely behind him.

He’s heartworm positive.

After everything he’s overcome, we’re SO close to giving this boy the healthy, happy future he deserves.

And since it’s $5 FRIDAY, we’re hoping our village can help get him across that finish line!

Estimated heartworm treatment: $684

THE ADVENTURES OF COPPER THE BIG RED DOG! 📖
Once upon a time, there was a very BIG red dog named Copper.

Copper was a 6-year-old, 125-pound Bloodhound mix who enjoyed the finer things in life. Long naps, warm sunshine, truck rides, and FOOD.

Unfortunately, Copper’s fosters had put him on a diet. This was NOT a chapter he particularly enjoyed. 😂

Every morning, Copper would venture into his yard, lift his magnificent nose into the air, and investigate the neighborhood.

A car pulling in? WOOF!
Neighbors outside? WOOF!
A suspicious noise? WOOF WOOF!

Once Copper had successfully informed the entire neighborhood of his findings, he’d find a nice patch of grass, plop down, and take a well-deserved nap.

And so went another very busy day in the life of Copper the Big Red Dog.

But there’s one chapter of Copper’s story that hasn’t been written yet…

The one where he finds his forever family!

You see, Copper is a TRUE Bloodhound, complete with a powerful nose, a BIG voice, and plenty of opinions. His future family needs to understand the breed and appreciate that his neighborhood announcements are part of the package!

But beneath that booming voice is a sweet, laid-back gentleman who loves his people, greets them with enthusiasm, and believes every good adventure should involve a truck ride.

Copper isn’t asking for a fairy tale. Just a loving family, a little help with his waistline, and someone who appreciates a good hound.

Clifford had his story. Now Copper needs someone to help write his happily ever after.

LUCY NEEDS A SECOND CHANCE!
ADOPTER NEEDED! 💕
Last year, Lucy got what every rescue dog dreams of. A family of her very own.

Unfortunately, life has taken an unexpected turn. Due to her owner’s own challenges, they’ve made the difficult decision to ask us to help find Lucy a new home.

MEET LUCY! 🌟
Lucy is approximately 2 years old, 50 pounds, and an adorable black-and-white bundle of love and energy!

She’s a happy, playful girl who absolutely LOVES people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and wants nothing more than to make her humans happy.

Lucy isn’t looking for a life of sitting around watching the world go by. She’s got places to go, things to sniff, and energy to burn! She’d thrive with an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors, and a fenced yard where she can run and play would be a dream come true.

But underneath all that playful energy is a sweet, loyal girl who just wants to belong.

We’re looking for an ADOPTER who can welcome Lucy into their home and give her the love, attention, and stability she deserves.

Lucy hasn’t done anything wrong. Her family circumstances have simply changed, and now she needs someone to step up for her.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A WEEK MAKES! MEET WILLOW! 💕
It’s amazing what a little love, patience, and a safe place to land can do for a dog. And Willow is living proof!

This beautiful 3-year-old, 65-pound girl previously lived outdoors on a property with six other dogs. She and her puppies eventually ended up at Lexington County Animal Control before making their way into foster care.

And now? Willow is discovering just how wonderful life inside a home can be!

She’s still a little skittish, especially around men, but she’s coming out of her shell more every day. Once she trusts you, she’ll seek you out for affection. And apparently nobody has told this 65-pound girl she’s NOT a lap dog!

Willow is calm, incredibly sweet, quiet, and wonderfully low maintenance. Her foster family has only heard her bark ONCE all week!

She’s also proving to be a fantastic houseguest!

🐾 Potty trained! She’ll stand by the door or nudge you when she needs to go out.

🐾 Trustworthy when left loose in the house and perfectly happy sleeping in her crate.

🐾 Walks nicely on a harness and takes treats ever so gently.

🐾 Peacefully coexists with the resident dog.

🐾 Loves lounging on the couch, watching the world through a window, and rolling around in the grass!

Willow especially loves being outdoors, so a fenced yard would be ideal. Her one little maintenance requirement? Be prepared for some shedding!

Willow is heartworm positive, but her treatment is covered by our rescue!

Her puppies are also looking for homes, but now it’s Mama Willow’s turn to find her happily ever after.

She’s come so far in just ONE week. Imagine what a lifetime of love could do! ❤️

PANCAKE UPDATE: A LITTLE FLIP IN OUR PLANS! 🥞
Well, our girl Pancake has been keeping us on our toes! Apparently, her road to recovery requires a few more flips than we anticipated.

First, the GOOD NEWS!

Thanks to our amazing supporters and Pancake’s very own BREAKFAST CLUB, we’ve covered her grooming, boarding, and spay! We’re also SO close to having the funds needed for the rest of her care!

Unfortunately, her surgery didn’t go quite as planned.

Pancake was in heat, making her spay more complicated and time-consuming than expected. After a lengthy procedure and some difficulty maintaining her body temperature, our veterinarian decided it was safest to postpone removing the large mass on her abdomen.

The good news? Pancake is doing well! After some extra time under veterinary observation, her spirits are good!

SO, WHAT’S NEXT?

Grooming, boarding & spay — DONE! ✅

Mass removal & biopsy — UP NEXT! Once she’s healed, we’ll schedule a separate procedure.

Heartworm treatment — STILL TO COME!

Unfortunately, splitting her surgery into two procedures means additional expenses we hadn’t anticipated.

We’re hoping to raise an extra $500 to help cover these unexpected costs!

We know we’ve asked a lot for this sweet girl, but thanks to YOU, Pancake has already come so far! She’s clean, comfortable, spayed, and one step closer to the life she deserves.

BREAKFAST CLUB, CAN WE GET ONE MORE LITTLE FLIP OF GENEROSITY? 🙏

We’re not quite at the finish line, but we’re getting there!

A LITTLE FLUFF, A LITTLE GLAM, AND A WHOLE LOT OF ATTITUDE! 🐾

First, a HUGE thank-you to Emily at Island Dog Pet Wash & Market for giving a couple of our rescue pups some much-needed pampering yesterday! We appreciate you helping our dogs look and feel their best!

Now, we’re not entirely sure Tabitha shares our enthusiasm. She’s currently giving her foster mom the SILENT TREATMENT after her spa day. Apparently, nobody consulted Her Majesty before scheduling her beauty appointment.

But we think she looks BEAUTIFUL! 💗

MEET TABITHA!
77 pounds of fluff, love, and the personality of a retired little old lady.

Tabitha is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees who apparently skipped the puppy phase and went straight into retirement.

She’s quiet, calm, ridiculously laid-back, and firmly believes the best things in life are a comfortable bed, good company, and dinner served ON TIME.

She loves EVERYONE! Dogs, cats, kids, adults… she’s not picky! She’ll happily follow you from room to room but is equally content doing her own thing. Independent woman, thank you very much.

She’s completely house-trained, does fine in a crate, and LOVES car rides, preferably right beside you so she can supervise.

And while Tabitha is generally quiet, she has mastered the art of getting exactly what she wants.

Dinner running late? PYR PAW.
Need some affection? PYR PAW.
Time to go outside? PYR PAW.

She’s got a communication system, and she expects you to learn it. 😂

She’s smart, sweet, gentle, and just stubborn enough to remind you she’s a Great Pyrenees.

At just 2 years old, Tabitha has perfected the art of doing absolutely nothing while somehow being the most lovable dog in the room.

Now all this freshly groomed, slightly offended princess needs is a forever home!

⚡ FLASH & DASH: THE DYNAMIC DUO! 💕
Okay, her name is actually Helga, but after this weekend, we’re seriously considering a name change. 😂

Flash (1 year) and Helga (7 months) had themselves a little sleepover after Sunday’s adoption event, and these two are a MATCH MADE IN DOGGY HEAVEN!

After a long day of meeting people, they even got to go to a restaurant, where they promptly passed out from exhaustion. Being adorable is HARD WORK.

But once those batteries recharged? GAME ON!

Flash is fast. We already knew that. But HELGA?! That little girl can OUTRUN HIM! 😂

She was initially nervous meeting the four resident dogs, but quickly came out of her shell and was running circles around everybody. Not that they could catch her if they tried!

These two spent their sleepover wrestling, chasing each other around the yard, and making everyone laugh. But when playtime was over? Couch snuggles and TV time! The best of both worlds.

A few things we learned:

🐾 HELGA is SMART! Not a single potty accident, LOVES her food, and apparently thinks toilet paper rolls are a delicacy. Hide your paper products! She’s also convinced she’s a lap dog when it’s time to cuddle.

🐾 FLASH is SO close to mastering his potty training! He’s goofy, affectionate, and absolutely THRIVES with a playmate who can match his enthusiasm.

Both have plenty of playful puppy energy, LOVE other dogs, and would flourish with a canine best friend!

BOTH ARE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION SEPARATELY! They aren’t a bonded pair and each is looking for a forever family of their own. Although we think they’d both be thrilled to have a playful dog sibling!
