ALOHA! I’M HONOLULU. ❤️

At just 35 pounds, I like to think I’m the perfect “fun-sized” package. Big enough for adventures, small enough to fit just about anywhere, and packed with enough personality to keep you smiling every day. 😀

Not too long ago, I was abandoned in a yard, underweight, dealing with skin issues, and wondering what would happen next.

You’d never know it now.

Despite everything, I’ve held onto my happy-go-lucky outlook on life. I love people, love other dogs, love the water, and wake up every day ready for whatever fun comes next. Whether it’s a walk, a beach day, a car ride, or simply hanging out with my people, I’m all in.

I’m 3 years old and was a favorite among the volunteers at the Darlington shelter before Journey Home Rescue Alliance rescued me. They loved my goofy spirit, sweet personality, and the way I could brighten anyone’s day.

Now I’m thriving in foster care where I’ve proven to be potty trained, crate trained, affectionate, and eager to learn. I know “sit,” have excellent recall, and I’m working hard on my leash skills.

I am heartworm positive and will begin treatment on July 7th and 8th, but that’s only a small part of my story.

The important part? I’m a happy, loving girl looking for a family of my own.

I’ve already overcome the hard part. Now I just need someone to choose me. ❤️

MEET GOOSE!
Goose is a 1 year old, 45 lb Lab mix with all the classic lab trademarks: smart, eager, energetic, and fully convinced every day is meant for adventure. 💚

He’s your perfect combo of outdoor explorer and indoor snuggle bug. On walks, he’s enthusiastic and curious about everything, sometimes a little too curious about squirrels and passing cars, so he’s still polishing up those leash manners. Inside the house, he flips the switch fast and settles into a calm, quiet, crate trained companion who’s perfectly happy to just hang out near his people.

He’s picking up basic commands quickly, doing great with potty training, and he’s very tuned in to his person’s energy. If you’re active, he’s in. If you’re relaxing, he’s right there matching your vibe. 🐾

Because Goose loves to play hard and can get a little mouthy when he’s excited, he would thrive in a home with a yard or space where he can stretch his legs and burn off zoomies in a healthy way.

WHAT A CUTIE!!! 🥰

At just 3–4 months old and around 27 pounds, this sweet pup has the happiest personality and loves being wherever her people are. In fact, we’ve joked that we should rename her Shadow because she’s always right by your side!

Daisy is wonderful with kids and other dogs and has never met a stranger she doesn’t want to love. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly smart—she already knows sit and is eager to learn more.

She’s doing great with house training and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. When bedtime rolls around, don’t be surprised if she wants to curl up right on top of you for snuggles!

WELL THIS IS AWESOME!! 👏 🎉
Our team reached out to many groomers since we well, (clear throat), hmm took in like 10 pyrenees dogs in the last few weeks (hey, take it up with our founder, it’s her soul dog). All facing euthanasia one after the next.

Baci & Buca Luxury Mobile Pet Spa got back to us and said, we’d love to help!!

Today, the most AMAZING person Jackie volunteered her time to making sure Cowboy & Grease, two dogs facing euthanasia, who where discarded and not ever loved - got their spa day.

WOW!!!

We are JUST so GRATEFUL!!!

Grease was so doubled matted and things - Jackie took her time spending TWO hours making him the hunk he is. 🥰

We are SO grateful for good people who support animal rescue. Thank you to this WONDERFUL team. Highly recommend 10/10.

❤️ SHE’S NOT ASKING FOR MUCH ❤️

London is the kind of dog who makes life easy. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and happiest when she’s curled up beside her favorite human. If you stop petting her, she’ll politely roll over and remind you that belly rubs should continue.

She prefers to eat her meals in her kennel, loves lounging on the couch, and has a gentle, affectionate personality that makes everyone fall in love with her.

London is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, so her activity is being kept limited while she heals. She’s also growing back some hair that was lost before coming into rescue, and with good food and lots of TLC, her coat is already improving beautifully.

THE REAL 🥴
Last Friday, we posted this litter of 7 that a shelter was SOS. In a matter of minutes a rescue partner said YES we will take.

In a matter of hours, the babies were coming to us to do what we needed so they could travel? The truth? We are glad they had.

We knew we had 6 days to juju them up, so they would be approved to travel.

Our vet saw them immediately knowing we were on the clock. We covered:
- Exams
- Parvo tests
- Ringworm scans
- Vaccines
- Dewormer
- Chips
- Probiotics
- Fluids for the little
- Convenia for the little ($100 antibiotic)

Our foster worked around the clock on fattening up the littles, who all left their momma too soon. She bathed, had spa days, did more fattening up, and when needed ran them back to the vet for yet another check.

The little was dehydrated and we had to put a very strict protocol in place.

Transport?

They left today with a husband and wife duo. The wife is watching them, like a hawk. She’s supplemental feeding, watching blood sugar al levels and making sure they are safe.

As we speak, they are in a private transport to our rescue partner who will take over their care.

6 days. 7 lives.

11 LIVES ARE SAFE 💕
(Puppy wet/dry food, toys & pads desperately needed)!!

Last Friday, our tank was on E. We were NOT intaking anymore. Then the grueling post came across our feed and hey what’s 11 more lives right? 😅🫠

This family, has endured more in their short lifespan than most. They ended up in the shelter when DSS was called on the home. If a rescue wasn’t found, they would have had to go back.

Momma Belle is a baby herself alongside her 10, 4-week old babies who came to us riddled of worms, loaded with parasites, and a few caught an URI which isn’t good for little ones. Two babies got eye infections and one got an unknown bump on his head making him not be able to see. After our vet ran fecals and did more testing, we have our answers, but the first set of vet appointments and food / supplies for what we thought was 2 week old pups has cost us nearly $760.

Whew. 😥

The foster is our hero and she’s ensuring they are all thriving; despite the hurdles.

This THANKFUL thursday we want to call out our foster Krysten and our amazing community who came together to save them.

Their care isn’t cheap and we need help so we can ensure they remain healthy and thriving.
