This little girl was brought to us by a good samaritan who found her inside a car! She is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and is already stealing hearts everywhere she goes. 🥹💕

Baby Skunk loves to snuggle, and just be a kitten. She is looking for a loving family who will give her all the love and continue to watch her grow!

Whatever your plans are this labor day weekend we hope you and your pets have a safe, happy, and relaxing holiday!

Please note that Bees Ferry Veterinary Hospital will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. We will resume our normal business hours on Tuesday.

Meet Tito!

A few weeks ago, Tito came to see us because he was very lethargic and wasn’t interested in eating. Tito had been evaluated by his veterinarian, and diagnostics revelead something that couldn't be seen from the outside - a bleeding mass on his spleen. He came to our team for the next step in his care: Surgery!

The spleen is an organ in the abdomen that helps filter blood and support the immune system. Sometimes a mass can develop on the spleen and begin to bleed into the abdomen, which is exactly what was happening with Tito. We knew Tito needed emergency surgery! Dr. Snider did not hesitate to jump right into action and remove Tito's spleen and its mass!

We’re happy to share that Tito has made a full recovery and his mass was BENIGN!!!! His family tells us he is back to being himself, and we couldn’t be happier for him.

Tito’s story is also a great reminder of just how valuable diagnostics can be when a pet isn’t feeling well. A physical exam can tell us a lot, but it can’t always tell us the whole story. Bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasound, and other diagnostic tools can help us find answers and determine the best next steps for our patients.

We are so happy to announce that Bramble, Sprout, Spider and Stevie have all been adopted!! Their new owners have reported they are adapting quickly and loving their new life! Thank you for everyone's help in making these adoptions happen!!

Their new families have already shared that they’re settling in quickly and loving their new lives. We couldn’t be happier knowing these sweet kittens have found the loving homes they deserve!

A huge thank you to everyone who shared our posts, spread the word, and helped us find the perfect families for them. It truly takes a community to make these happy endings happen.

Everyone help us congratulate Crook on completing his last puppy visit!

At just 16 weeks old, Crook is officially rabies vaccinated and ready to get out there and make some new friends! He is full of energy, personality, and always makes our day a little brighter when he comes to visit.

We’ve loved watching Crook grow through his puppy visits and can’t wait to see him grow into a happy, healthy adult.

Visit our online pharmacy through the "Order Food and Meds" link on our website! Meet our newest Pharmacy employees! They may be small, but they already have some strong opinions about parasite prevention.

These sweet kittens are still available for adoption, and while they plan to live the indoor-cat lifestyle, that doesn’t mean they’re completely protected from parasites. Here in South Carolina, heartworm prevention is especially important. Heartworms are transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito, and it only takes one bite to put a cat at risk. Mosquitoes can easily make their way indoors, which means even cats who never step outside can still be exposed!

Fleas can also find their way inside on people, other pets, or through small openings around the home. Beyond being uncomfortable, fleas can transmit tapeworms and cause other health problems—especially in young kittens. Many veterinary-recommended preventatives require a prescription, and our team would be happy to help determine the best option for your cat! 👩🏼‍⚕️👩🏻‍⚕️👩🏾‍⚕️

Willie & Ray are STILL waiting for their forever home!

Willie has become quite vocal about the situation and would like everyone to know that he is officially demanding visitors. He and his brother Ray are a bonded pair who would love to find a home together. They enjoy the company of other cats, so they could also be a great addition to a multi-cat household.

And don’t forget about their sister, Stevie! Stevie is currently thriving in her foster home, where she has shown just how much she enjoys snuggles, pets, and being part of a family. She could join a home with other pets, be reunited with her brothers, or happily soak up all the attention as an only cat.

These three have been through a lot and have grown into incredibly sweet, resilient cats. Now they just need someone to give them a chance.

If the start of the school year has your house feeling a little too quiet—or you simply have room for a few more snuggles—come meet them!
