Drake Farm Clydesdales/Feed & Supply In December of 2002 the Drake family purchased our first Clydesdale. Since that time we have had the good fortune of owning and breeding some great horses.

Our foundation stock has done well in the show ring and has excelled in the breeding barn. To date we have bred the 2011 Top Selling Gelding, won numerous Grand Champion honors and All-American nominations. Our horses possess the genetics of horses like Inspetor Floss, Hillmore Anna May, Greendykes Lucky Shot, Ayton Perfection, SBH Phoenix, Millisle Explorer, Ellengowan Sensational Rheta, Millisle Perfection, Greendykes Reflexion, Maplewood Levi, Doura Sensation, Jones Way Supreme Selector, and Greendykes Sherman. It is our goal to breed Clydesdales that exhibit superior conformation and movement as well as the classic Clydesdale disposition. We currently have young stock for sale with more foals arriving early in 2012. In addition to Clydesdales we have begun providing a full line of horse feeds and supplements. A number of horse people expressed a great deal of dissatisfaction with the brands and quality of feed offered locally. As a result we have been providing premium feed from Progressive Nutrition to east central Illinois for 3 years. A number of other equine health products are also available including GLC joint supplements. Feed products for other species are also available by request. Feel free to view some of the products we have available on this site. If you are looking for feed, supplements, medications or a champion Clydesdale feel free to contact us today.

For Sale: Yearling Clydesdale Mare

🔴⚪️⚫️Drakes Unity⚫️⚪️🔴

Offering a lovely yearling Clydesdale mare from our best mare line. These mares have proven to be easy breeders, with strong maternal instincts and produce vigorous, athletic foals.

Unity is a good-colored filly with excellent substance while retaining her femininity. She has solid feet, good hair, clean legs and joints.
She’s smart yet easy to handle — loads, bathes, stands quietly for the farrier, and stands nicely in cross ties. She can be turned out with anyone.
We own her aunt, dam, a half-sister, a full sister, and have another full sibling on the way. We’re simply making room, so this quality mare is available to an approved home.

Serious inquiries welcome. Message for more details.

🔴⚪️⚫️Weanling Clydesdale Colt⚫️⚪️🔴

Valor is a big, bay, well-made c**t. He is calm, smart, and exceptionally easy to handle — he loads, bathes, stands quietly for the farrier, and is solid in the cross ties.

He is a good-moving c**t with huge hooves, wide heels, good feather, and substantial bone with clean joints. Quality and substance throughout!

He won his class and was named Jr Champion Stallion, qualifying for All-American, at his very first show. He carries strong genetics from lines of 🇺🇸 and 🇨🇦 champions and has the presence and pedigree to develop into a future herd sire — or the willing, trainable temperament to make an outstanding gelding.

We are not retaining him as he is related to all of our current and rising broodmares.

Serious inquiries welcome.
