🐾🌟 August Pet of the Month: Penelope ("Penny")! 🌟🐾
Everyone, meet our adorable August Pet of the Month, Penelope, better known as Penny Peete! 💙 This 11½-year-old Miniature Dachshund may be small, but her personality is larger than life.
Penny joined her family after a memorable road trip from Kentucky, where she was picked up in a Bob Evans parking lot after stealing her mom's heart with her one-of-a-kind coloring. It was meant to be from the very beginning. 🥹
When she's happiest, you'll find Penny racing down the beach with her ears flapping in the breeze, soaking up the sunshine, chasing squirrels, supervising everyone from her favorite barstool, or snuggled up on her heating pad. She also loves roughhousing with her little sister, Tilly, and giving endless kisses to everyone she loves. ❤️
Her family says it's impossible to choose just one favorite thing about her—from her adorable cowlicks and chicken-like bark to her sassy attitude and the way she makes sure everyone knows exactly how she's feeling. Penny is full of love, personality, and plenty of opinions!
Penny has also faced more medical challenges than most dogs her age, showing incredible strength and resilience through it all. Despite everything, she's never stopped sharing her love, cuddles, and sweet spirit. Her family feels incredibly lucky to have her and is dedicated to making every day as happy and comfortable as possible.
