There’s something really special about a dog choosing connection over reaction. 🤍

This board and train with Mabel, I watched her pause, think, and keep coming back to me instead of reacting to every little thing around her. Not because she was forced to — but because she started to understand that not every situation requires a loud response.

So grateful for the trust this sweet girl gave me, and for every tiny breakthrough that slowly turned into something bigger. Training reactive dogs is never just about obedience and is rarely linear… but it’s about helping them find clarity, neutrality, and confidence in the world around them.

Women make up about 90% of the people who recognize their dog needs help and take the first step toward change. You are the ones scheduling the sessions, doing the homework, advocating for your dogs, losing sleep over their struggles, celebrating the small wins, and staying committed to their learning journey every single day.

Thank you for the patience, consistency, compassion, and dedication you pour into your dogs. The progress they make is because someone loved them enough to keep showing up for them — and most of the time, that someone is you.

Working with all of your amazing dogs honestly makes me feel like the Snow White of the dog world 🐶✨

Training isn’t one-size-fits-all. In this case, we used a simple pulley system to help reinforce place without the dog viewing me walking over to reset them as a reward. Small adjustments like this can make a huge difference in clarity and accountability.

An even bigger factor here: meeting the client where they are. My client is currently handicapped, so building systems that are practical, manageable, and sustainable for them matters just as much as the dog’s progress. Good training isn’t about forcing people into a rigid method — it’s about creating communication the dog and owner can succeed with.

Creative problem solving > cookie cutter training. 🐾

Baker absolutely crushed his ring bearer duties and was the life of the party from start to finish. From walking down the aisle like a pro to celebrating with his Paw-rents on their big day, this boy handled every moment with confidence, composure, and plenty of charm. 🖤

Dog spelled backwards is God.

And somehow, that always made sense to me.
They don’t ask us to be polished, impressive, or
perfect.

They meet us exactly where we are — and teach us how to do the same.

To accept. To adapt. To overcome.

To love without condition and live without pretending.
In a world that feels increasingly fabricated, dogs pull us back to what’s real.

They slow life down in the gentlest way.

Ground us in routine, presence, touch, breath, silence.

And maybe the most beautiful part of loving a dog is who we become in return.

Because when we show up for them,
we show up as the most authentic versions of ourselves .

They come to me unsure, sometimes overwhelmed, sometimes feeling like the world is just a little too big. And somewhere between the structure, the trust, and the quiet moments in between, we build something real.
The hardest part isn’t the training… it’s letting them go when they’re finally ready.

MANNN, if there’s ever a National Fin Appreciation Day, I’ll be the first one petitioning for it. This dog has one of the sweetest hearts I’ve ever had the chance to work with. Fin has truly become part of my daily routine, and it’s going to feel a little quieter without him around.

His confidence has grown exponentially, his ability to adapt has done a complete 180, and I have no doubt in my mind that when his family welcomes their baby this summer, he’s going to step into that role with calm, love, and safe, respectful boundaries.

It’s hard to even put into words how blessed I feel to be living out—and honestly surpassing—the dreams I had as a kid. This work fills my soul in a way nothing else can, and moments like this remind me why I chose this path. Here’s to the little kid in me who dreamed of this life… and to the dogs, like Fin, who made it real.🥹
