Meet sweet Andrea!

Andrea presented to one of our oncologists, Dr. Rissetto, in January with a large mass on her muzzle and infiltrating her nose, obstructing her entire right nasal passage. Because of the size and location of the mass, surgery would involve a radical surgery removing most of her muzzle. Because the mass was a mast cell tumor, we had the option of using an oral chemotherapy drug that targets certain growth receptors in the tumor.

We are so happy to report that Andrea had a beautiful response to her chemo and while she was always beautiful, she now has her gorgeous profile back!!

We love you Andrea, and are so thrilled for your progress! 💓

Toxic Tuesday 🌿

Sago Palms Can Be Deadly to Pets

Did you know sago palms are extremely toxic to both dogs and cats? Even a small amount—especially the seeds—can cause severe liver damage and can be fatal.

Signs of toxicity may include:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Jaundice (yellowing of gums/eyes)
• Seizures

If you suspect your pet has ingested any part of a sago palm, seek veterinary care immediately. Early treatment can save their life.

LINAC Construction Update 🚧✨

Our LINAC (Linear Accelerator) construction is officially underway! While progress is happening behind the scenes, we couldn’t resist having a little fun with it—turning the space into our very own staff catwalk to show off the amazing team that makes our hospital so special.

A LINAC is an advanced radiation therapy machine used to treat cancer with precision, allowing us to deliver targeted treatment while protecting surrounding healthy tissue. This addition will help us continue providing the highest level of care to our patients.

Stay tuned for updates! 🔨🐕
