The Tyler Creek Farm & Mini Mercantile Tyler Creek Farm was settled by Thomas and Matilda Figgatt in 1780 and is still in the family nine generations later. A labor of love.

Our Mini Mercantile farm stand carries on that legacy with fresh provisions, handmade goods, and the things we grow, bake, and create. Tyler Creek Farm is a Kanawha County Century farm. Established in 1904 the Figgatt family has provided safe and nutritious foods to the community as a way of life.

What’s in a name?

The family name on this farm has stayed the same since 1780. That’s 246 years of changing with the times, finding new ways to make the farm work to the benefit of the community around us.

The farm has seen a lot of changes in those years, and this is simply the next chapter in our book.

The Tyler Creek Farm Mini Mercantile is officially becoming Tyler Creek Farm Mercantile & Refillery.

As a family, we have chosen to expand what we offer and working toward bringing the Kanawha Valley its first on-farm refillery, with thoughtfully chosen products for your home, skin, pets, pantry, and more.

The name may be getting just a little longer, but it feels like a better fit for what this farm is becoming and what we hope to offer our community next.

We appreciate everyone who has donated so far! We still have a ways to go to reach our goal of 200 jars and bottles for the new Refillery!

We need time to get everything cleaned and sterilized before opening day, so if you’re out and about, feel free to drop them off or message me to arrange a time to meet.

We’ll also be at the South Charleston Farmers Market tomorrow from 1 - 4 PM with a jar donation box!

Heads up! I’m on farm chore, and farmstand trail preparation duty this weekend, so other than chocolate cupcakes coming tomorrow afternoon, there are no baked goods planned.

We enjoyed some family time this evening, so the farmstand will be restocked at 10 AM tomorrow. Fresh eggs and honey and your regular favorites this weekend!

We’re busy preparing for the October 24 Farmstand Trail and our Refillery soft opening! With full time jobs during the week and the Southwest Region Trail to coordinate, my plate runneth over!

The West Virginia Farmstand Trail is almost here! Join us Saturday, October 24th, for a day of exploring local farmstands, shopping small, and supporting West Virginia farmers and makers!

Pick up your Farmstand Trail Passport at a participating location and collect a stamp or sticker at each stop!
