Our veterinarians in Charleston, SC serve the dogs and cats of Charleston, West Ashley, the Peninsula, James Island, Mt Pleasant and surrounding communities as advocates for them and their owners. Our team has been VERY spoiled this week!!! 🥹💙🐾

A huge thank you to sweet Don’s family; Kelly, Suzanne & everyone we’ve had the pleasure of loving over the years, our amazing neighbors at Baguette Magic and our incredible manager + company for making our team feel so appreciated and cared for. 🫶🏼

It’s the good teams, good leadership, amazing clients, happy pets, and supportive neighbors that make doing this job just a little bit easier…and SO much more fun. We’re incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful community surrounding us. 💙

From delicious treats and lunches to a day of getting absolutely humbled at the Charleston Aqua Park😂💦 we’ve definitely been feeling the love!

Meet the newest member of our team, Dr. Magenta Kline! 💙🐾

Dr. Kline has been practicing veterinary medicine for 6 years and has a special love for internal medicine (and if you ask her favorite animal… it’s always cats! 🐱).

A fun fact you might not know: Dr. Kline originally planned to pursue human medicine and even spent 3 months in Rwanda working at an HIV clinic. But after meeting the veterinarian caring for the mountain gorillas, everything changed…and she knew veterinary medicine was where she belonged.

And here’s our favorite full-circle moment… the adorable kitten pictured is also named Magenta! after none other than Dr. Kline herself! 🥹💕

✨ Doctor Spotlight: Meet Dr. Tierney! ✨

If you’ve ever met Dr. Tierney, you know one thing is guaranteed, you’ll probably leave smiling. 💙

She’s been part of our West Ashley Veterinary Clinic family since she was just 15 years old, working her way through high school, veterinary school, and now celebrating 25 years in practice as one of our incredible veterinarians. (swipe to the end to hear a little bit of her story! 🥹🤍). Watching her grow from a young team member into the doctor she is today has been pretty special.

Around the clinic, we lovingly joke that Dr. Tierney was our “personality hire.” 😂 Whether she’s cracking a joke in the treatment area or making everyone laugh between appointments, she brings kindness, positivity, and just the right amount of chaos to every day. 🐾 Heads up! 🐾

Tomorrow, July 15th, our medical team will stop seeing appointments after 4:00 PM so our doctors, veterinary technicians, and assistants can attend CPR training and continuing education.

Investing in ongoing training helps us provide the safest, highest-quality care for your pets when it matters most. ❤️

Our front desk team will still be available during normal business hours for medication refills, prescription pickups, and general questions.

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Dr. Sullivan! 💙

With 9 years in veterinary medicine, Dr. Sullivan is passionate about client education and loves helping pet parents better understand their pets’ health so they can make informed decisions every step of the way. She also has a special interest in preventative medicine, fear-free patient care, client communication, and education, making every visit as positive and stress-free as possible for both pets and their people.
