Daniel Island Animal Hospital is partnering with The Blood Connection to sponsor a blood drive on Friday, September 18th, 2026, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm! Each donor will receive $40 in donor rewards! Each blood donation saves up to 3 lives. Donors need to be at least 16 years old (16-year-olds need a signed parental consent form), weigh at least 110 pounds, have a photo ID, and be in general good health. When you're preparing your family for a storm, don't forget your four-legged family members!

Before severe weather arrives, make sure you have:
✔️ At least 7 days of food and fresh water
✔️ Medications and preventatives
✔️ A leash, harness, or carrier
✔️ Copies of vaccination and medical records
✔️ Updated ID tags and microchip information
✔️ Comfort items like a favorite toy or blanket
✔️ Waste bags or litter and supplies
