As we get closer to the holiday, don't forget to make a plan for your furry family members. Fireworks can be exciting for us but stressful for many pups. Make sure collars and tags are up to date, create a safe and quiet space, and talk with your veterinarian if your dog struggles with anxiety during fireworks.

🚨🐶 OMG... PUPPY ALERT! 🐶🚨

I got the opportunity to introduce sweet Birdie to the grooming process today with a short, easy nail trim and file. 💕

When it comes to puppies, it's not always about getting a full groom right away. Sometimes it's simply helping them learn that grooming is a safe, positive experience. These early visits help build confidence, create good habits, and set them up for a lifetime of successful grooming appointments.

Birdie did such a great job and was full of puppy sweetness! Those bright eyes and that adorable smile completely melted my heart. 🥰

Way to go, Birdie! We can't wait to watch you grow and continue your grooming journey. 🐾✨

🐾 PART 3: GROOMING IS MORE THAN HAIRCUTS 🐾

Sometimes groomers notice health changes before anyone else does.

And honestly, that’s not because owners aren’t paying attention.

Life gets busy. You see your dog every day, so small changes can happen gradually and be easy to miss.

But groomers?

We're seeing and feeling your dog up close during every appointment.

That means we sometimes notice things like:

• New lumps or bumps
• Irritated skin or hot spots
• Ear infections starting
• Changes in mobility or stiffness
• Sore spots or areas of discomfort
• Ticks hiding under all that fluff
• Changes in coat or skin condition

There have been many times I've gently mentioned something to an owner and they've said,

"Oh wow... I hadn't even noticed that."

And that's exactly why routine grooming matters so much.

It's not just about sending home a clean, fluffy dog.

It's about having another set of caring eyes helping monitor your dog's health, comfort, and well-being.

Dogs who are groomed regularly often have little concerns noticed sooner—and catching those things early can make a huge difference in the long run.

Because grooming isn't just about how your dog looks.

It's also about how they're feeling. ❤️🐾

You know how some dogs act personally offended when you touch their feet? 😂

There's actually a reason groomers spend so much time down there.

We're not just trimming nails and calling it a day.

We're checking paw pads for packed hair, mats between the toes, irritated skin, little cuts, foxtails, and signs your pup may be licking their feet too much.

And overgrown nails?

They affect more than people realize.

When nails get too long, they can change the way a dog stands and walks. Over time, that can put extra stress on joints and make movement uncomfortable—especially for senior dogs.

That's why regular foot care is one of those small things that quietly makes a BIG difference in your dog's comfort and mobility.
