Hey guys, we didn't receive any donations of totes for the shelter, so we are going to have to order them. We need about 50 more to safely store all our donated pet food. We purchased 15 on Tuesday, but I'm getting ready to order 40 more. This is going to cost us around $1000 total and we really don't have the extra funds to spend on them, but we don't want all this pet food that we got donated to be ruined by mice. We use this to feed not only our animals, but we share with local families that need a little help feeding their furbabies. I am begging for some help. I know it's a tough time of the year, but if everyone that sees this post could donate just $5, we could get it covered. Thank you all so much!!

We were blessed today with a HUGE donation of dog food and supplies! We want to give a big thank you to Whitworth Roofing and Mike Jones for helping us pick it up! This will feed SOOOO many animals.

Now we have a huge favor to ask from our Castaways family. We need about 30-40 of these storage totes to store the food in so the mice don't get into it. Winter is coming and we want to be sure our stuff is sealed up tight. I have included the link to these through Wal-Mart. You get 2 of them for $35. If anyone is available to donate, they can be shipped to the shelter:

🐱💞🐶 MATCH PLEDGE TOTAL- $2100🐶❤️🐱

Wehlage Family Farm - $1000
Haug CPA - $100
Anonymous - $1000

Good morning! We are starting a low cost Spay/Neuter program through Castaways and are looking for corporate or private sponsors to match donations given, up to a certain amount.

We figure it's getting close to the end of the year and many are looking for a tax write-off. What better way to make a difference in our community than to help fund this much needed service? Our goal is to help reduce the number of unwanted animals at the root, by offering Spay/Neuter to those who may otherwise not be able to afford it.

Wehlage Family Farms has pledged the first $1000 to start the match fund. Would you be interested in donating to help get this program off the ground and running? Message us to make your match pledge! We will update the post as sponsors come in!

Donations can be made through the link below or through Venmo. Help us get this needed program up and running, be a founding sponsor!

📌🚨📌 We have an amazing opportunity and we need your help to make it happen!! Next Friday, 10/16, we are getting food from KC area. They have offered us 16 pallets of high quality pet food, but we need help hauling it back to Chanute to the shelter. It will be loaded and unloaded with a forklift. All you would need to do is drive! Does anyone have a tractor/trailer or step deck trailer that would be willing to help us? We could also do it with a few trucks/trailers.

We are also getting a pallet of cat litter, a half pallet of Kitten food and several cases of treats from another food program in the KC area that day. This load will cost us $235.68 We would love it if people would like to donate to help us cover this cost. It's a SUPER good deal for our kitties!!

Shakira wanted to ask a HUGE favor from our Castaways family. We are almost completely out of bleach and pill pockets. We use a ton of bleach to keep their home clean and germ free. The pill pockets are wonderful for giving meds to our furbabies. Our Amazon list has both of these things plus some other goodies! If you don't do Amazon, there is a link below to donate. Thank you so much for always being there for us!!
