Unleash The Peace

Unleash The Peace Balanced Dog Trainer with over fifteen years of experience training all breeds and all challenges. I work with all breeds, ages, and issues.

I work diligently to teach both the dog and human a humane and effective way to communicate, using tools (slip lead, prong collar and remote collars), body language, praise, and reinforcement for good behavior. I am passionate about helping those humans who are willing to make a lifestyle change for themselves and their dog; owners who are committed to helping their dog be the best they can be by creating a calm dynamic between them! In addition, I take a special interest in fearful dogs!

Meet Chance.
He's a 5 year old Lab who was rescued about 4 years ago and was recently rehomed due to his Dad's medical state rendering him unable to care for Chance. Thankfully, he has landed in the lap of a very special human, who adopted a dog from me 100 years ago. 🫶🏻

Chance hasn't had much socialization up until now and is very insecure. He is currently unable to be walked on a leash, lacks the confidence to walk in certain areas of the house or go through a dog door and knows little commands. The good news, is that he is sooooooo sweet and he has landed in a home who are willing to take things at his pace and help him shine.

At our first session, we worked on using conversational leash work to get him feeling confident walking through the house on tile floors. Once we showed him that we will lead him and keep him safe we tackled the dog door one flap at a time 😉 We also added leadership exercises to his homework list, so that we can begin to shape him looking to his family for guidance and slowing down his mind. This sweet boy's world has been totally shaken up and we are so grateful to be able to help him to transition into his new life as smoothly as possible. Word on the street is Chance is cruising in and out of the dog door like a champ since 👏🏻👏🏻 Keep up the great work, Nancy 💖

Meet Rocco.
He's a 2 year old Havanese who was adopted about a year ago but who has been having some challenges on leash and with his selective listening syndrome 😉 Rocco is a sweet boy, but it has taken him some time to learn how to dog and come out of his shell.

At our first session, we worked on giving his family a way to communicate with him clearly and consistently among the family members. We worked on puppy pushups, lots of leadership exercises and impulse control drills and manners at the doorway. He is a really smart little pup and now we can work on creating a deeper connection with this little man! Keep up the great work, Pierro family! 👏🏻

Meet Coco.
He's a 1 year old Pittie/Lab mix who is the absolute sweetest! His family reached out for help with building his confidence, basic obedience and manners on leash.

At our first session, we worked on lots of engagement with his family so that he could begin to form a deeper connection to his people and practice his impulse control. We also taught him puppy pushups, which are the foundational basics of come, sit and down. He and his family did fantastic and he really enjoys working his mind! Keep up the great work, Stephanie and Chris 👏🏻

Taco added some more homework to his course load at our last session and he thinks thinking is exhausting! We worked on creating a way to communicate with him that is clear and consistent on both ends of the leash. We introduced him to leadership exercises, that will help with trust, impulse control and engagement. We worked on puppy pushups, to give him a strong foundation of life skills to start from, but that are also non-confrontational for his people to learn their rhythm too. Lastly, we worked on having him wait for permission to go outside, which helps with connection, leadership, impulse control and safety.

This guy has been letting the impulses in his mind run his show for years, so we are in the beginning stages of unpacking that response and replacing it with a new behavioral response. Brick by brick, we are rebuilding his nervous system and his overall Taco house 🌮😉 Keep up the great work, Barbara and Valerie 👏🏻

New day, new skills! We conditioned Max to the ecollar at our last session to help to communicate with him on walks when his big boy feelings take over and he becomes too strong to handle 😉 We worked on his basic obedience skills to condition him to the new tool, so that his parents could find their rhythm with it as well. We are taking things super slow and ensuring that both ends of the leash understand the new conversation clearl, so we are all set up for success. Super proud of this hunk! Keep up the great work, Harvey family 👏🏻

Foster dog Friday, brought to you by Poppy! 😍 She's a 9 month old Great Dane breeding fostered with our friends at . She loves all dogs and people and is a typically puppy...all gas and no brakes. 😉 She is absolutely stunning and a total sweetheart, but her foster mom wanted some help with some of her basic life skills to help her to find her forever home ❤️

During our session, we worked hard on helping Poppy to work on some impulse control, since we all know the lack of impulse conctrol in puppies is what gets them in trouble 😉 We introduced her to recall and down, lots of leadership exercises to get her tuned in and listening to her people, manners at doorways so we don't get bowled over and crating up without drama 😉 Poppy is super smart and such a good girl, we just want to give her a way to hear our guidance so we can help her continue to grow into a well balanced adult dog. 🫶🏻 She is absolutely delicious and if you'd like to meet her, reach out here or to her rescue! Keep up the great work, Andrea 👏🏻
