Unleash The Peace Balanced Dog Trainer with over fifteen years of experience training all breeds and all challenges. I work with all breeds, ages, and issues.

I work diligently to teach both the dog and human a humane and effective way to communicate, using tools (slip lead, prong collar and remote collars), body language, praise, and reinforcement for good behavior. I am passionate about helping those humans who are willing to make a lifestyle change for themselves and their dog; owners who are committed to helping their dog be the best they can be by creating a calm dynamic between them! In addition, I take a special interest in fearful dogs!

Faith learned all about the 'out' command at our last session! She has been having a hard time managing her impulses around high value items and has even nipped her family in protest when they try to take things away from her that she shouldn't be chewing. This resource guarding also translates to humans, space and toys so we want to get in front of that! The out command helps her to have a cue to both step away from the item she shouldn't have and act as a 'drop it out of your mouth' command. This is a game changer for her family so that they can get things away from her safely and also keep her safe from herself! Keep up the great work, Downin crew 🙌🏼

New walk vibes with Emma! She gets overstimulated on the walk and tends to jump on her people so we added some ecollar communication to her life, which was a game changer! Turns out that she is able to relax and let Mom handle all the scary things when we slow down her mind a bit and dial in her connection. So proud of both of them!

Meet Churro.
She's a 4ish month old Sharpei mix who was recently adopted by an awesome human. She is allll puppy at home and has challenges with manners and listening skills like most baby dogs. 😉 But out in the wild, fear takes over...so socialization and confidence is on the docket!

At our first session, we worked on puppy pushups and leadership exercises to get this girl looking to Mom for guidance. She wasn't too sure about me, but she survived and made great choices! She's going home to do homework and will be back to work in the wild next time! Keep up the great work, Aleksandra 🙌🏼

Foster dog Friday, brought to you by Tuffy 🙌🏼🙌🏼 This special dudes bravery is growing by leaps and bounds! You may recall that he really doesn't do anything normal dogs do...he had spent his life thus far, stuck in his nervous and shut down mind, trying to become invisible. Thankfully, he's in a foster home that wants to help him learn to dog...to jump, play, bark and get on the couch for snuggles.🫶🏻

At our last session, he learned how to hear his family's guidance when faced with an obstacle. Everything we did with him, was 100% the first time he had seen or done any of these things, but with patience and guidance, he was able to tackle the obstacles we set in his path. Giving him the ability to quiet his flight response and let us handle all these hard things, allows him to relax and believe in himself 🫶🏻 It is honestly, the coolest thing to watch his confidence and trust grow 🥺 Keep to the great work, Team Tuffy!

The Cooper man got an off switch at our last session and he turned into an absolute puddle of relaxed flooooooof 😍 He lives amongst a gaggle of dogs at home but tends to be the fun police, barking at everyone during playtime. So we are going to use place to help him to relax and take a break from governing once in a while.😉 This dude is doing great and I can't wait to hear how place helps the whole pack learn to chill 💖 Keep up the great work, Jensen family 👏🏻

Biiiiggg day for the beautiful Noelle! She used to be a wild woman on the leash, being reactive and making walks exhausting. Turns out, when we let her know that we will handle all of the threats on walks, she is able to relax and enjoy herself...which allows us to enjoy ourselves too! She was able to walk with Shorty and Luda, get some sniffs and learn that not every canine in this world is out to get her! So very proud of her! Keep up the great work, Team Noelle 👏🏻

No one likes to walk a dog who is pulling and zigzaggy, so we introduced this guy to the working walk and he absolutely crushed it! Another beautiful day to teach calm on command! Rosa and Grace learned the foundation of the place command at our last session. This will help them to manage their big feelings about guests visiting and will also keep them out from underneath all the baking that goes on as their house.😉 Additionally, the place command practiced regularly, also helps to create a calmer doodle overall. They are going to put in some work and we will check back to see where they land! Keep up the great work, Susan ❤️
