Wishing you and your loved ones a weekend full of sunshine, egg hunts, pastel everything, and plenty of tail wags! Whether you’re celebrating with chocolate bunnies or backyard adventures, we hope your holiday is filled with joy, laughter, and furry cuddles. 💕🐣

While you’re making memories, don’t forget to keep your pets safe from some common Easter hazards:

🥚 Plastic Easter eggs – Great for hiding treats, but not meant for curious chewers! These can become choking hazards or cause serious tummy trouble if swallowed.

🍫 Chocolate bunnies & candy – Delicious for humans, dangerous for pets. Chocolate, xylitol, and other sweets can be toxic—even in small amounts.

🌱 Lilies – Stunning spring flowers, but extremely toxic to cats. Even licking the pollen or drinking the vase water can cause kidney failure.

🎀 Easter grass (the shiny kind) – Pets love to chew it, but it can cause intestinal blockages. Go for pet-safe paper or fabric fillers instead!

🐾 If your pet gets into any mischief this Easter, we're just a phone call away.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Paige Cooper to our growing FVC Family! Dr. Cooper was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and knew from a very young age that she wanted to help animals. Dr. Cooper completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana Tech where she played Division 1 Volleyball. She then moved to Arizona, where she excelled through the rigorous program at Midwestern School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been serving patient's locally since, and is excited to join our team in our mission to see our patients live their happiest, healthiest, and longest lives!

Outside of work, Dr. Cooper enjoys outdoor sports and loves to travel! Dr. Cooper shares her home with her husband and son, as well as their 5 four-legged kiddos (3 dogs, 2 cats!). She is seeing patients at Family VetCare of Mesa and we can't wait for you to meet her!

“…we are dedicated to caring for people and their pets as FAMILY to help them live healthier, happier, and longer lives.” These are not simply pretty words to describe our mission; it is who we are at our core!

Our teams are always busy giving a voice to the voiceless, caring for our patients and clients as Family, and generally influencing our veterinary community with positivity.

This weekend we rallied together to impact our community in a different way. We seized the opportunity to help alleviate hunger by working with Midwest Food Bank to package food that will be delivered to people in our community with the greatest need.
Our family loved having the opportunity to reach out beyond our hospital doors, and we are excited to help our community more in the future. In the words of Ronald Reagan, "We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone!"

Hey FVC Family - our family is growing! Please join us in welcoming the newest member to our work family... Dr. Carolyn Duregger, an Arizona native!
She obtained her Bachelor of Science and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. While she thought Colorado was a great place to go to school, she was more than happy to come home to Arizona when she graduated! She loves getting to know her patients and clients so that she can provide and foster a collaborative approach to health care. When not working, you can find her hiking, running, doing photography and spending time with her son.

Dr. Duregger is seeing patients at Family VetCare of Mesa, and we're super excited for you to meet her! Welcome Dr. Duregger - you are already ADORED by your patients, clients, and fellow team members!

Employee Appreciation Day may only come around once a year, but here at Family VetCare, it's every day! Our rockstar teams deserve all the praise in the world for the hard work and dedication they give to our patients and clients every day.
