G’day True Blue Mates! I’m coming to you with some firework safety tips to help keep your pets safe this Fourth of July! 💙🎆

1. Update your pet’s ID tags and microchip information to help them get home if they do escape.

2. Avoid bringing pets to fireworks displays. Even well-trained, calm dogs can panic and bolt.

3. Keep pets indoors, ideally in a secure, quiet room away from windows. Curtains and white noise can help muffle sounds.

4. Create a calming space with familiar toys, blankets and treats. Some animals respond well to pheromone diffusers, calming music, or ambient noises eg. high speed fan or turning on dryer.

5. Consult your vet about anxiety treatments. There are effective anti-anxiety medications and calming supplements available that can make a big difference. Veterinarians can recommend treatments including:

• Prescription anxiety medications (e.g., trazodone, cabapentin, alprazolam.)
• Over-the-counter calming aids (CBD, melatonin, pheromone sprays.)
• Behavior modification therapy or desensitization techniques.
• Compression garments like ThunderShirts.

Meet Mozzarella, Heinz and Piper! I spent a week hanging out with this cute trio for the first time. All three are young energetic pups! Mozzarella and Piper are 2 years old. Hienz 7 months. Their favorite activities consist of playing fetch with their toys, frolicking in the grass and indulging in way too much peanut butter and frozen pupsicles. We received a delivery and to their surprise mum surprised them with fresh grass, I opened up the box and laid down a few patches in their enclosed patio. They go nuts for fresh grass and it was so fun watching them roll around it in, happy days!!!

Meet Rocky and Ruby! 😻
Over the course of a week I did drop in visits for these two and enjoyed every second of it. Rocky and Ruby are 11 year old ginger tabby’s each with their own unique personalities. Rocky is a little more reserved and weary of new people so we spent the week working on slower introductions. Not to worry Rocky, we will be friends soon. Slow and steady wins the race! Ruby on the otherhand is such a lover girl, she loves to smooch up against you and enjoys affection. I attended the second annual Cat Fest at Mesa History Museum and came back with DIY cat toy crafts. Ruby’s eyes lit up when I gave her the toys I made. It’s true what they say.. buy cat toys = disinterested but use household items like a toilet roll and they have an absolute ball.

UPDATE: THEY FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOMES 🏡

I’m helping my friend rehome her two Wheaton Terrier’s. She cannot keep them due to having to relocate across the country. Rehoming fee is $100 each. They aren’t bonded blood related siblings, can be separated. Fully vetted. No health issues. Spayed and Neutered.

Cash - Male. Approx 5 years old. He loves to be loved and is your typical lap dog.
Georgia - Female. Approx 5 years old. She’s timid, easy going and loves attention but doesn’t beg for it.

Crikey! 2024 was the year it all started! True Blue Pet Care LLC has now been open for a year.
I am thankful for the support of my followers, friends, family, the loyal clients I have today and the furry friends I’ve met along the way.

Meet and Greet - Free
30 minute drop in visit - $25
60 minute drop in visit - $35
Dog walk - $25/30 mins
Overnight Stay (6pm-8am) - $90/night
Live in Care (20-22 hours) - $120

Holiday rate surcharge: Additional $10 added to all services. Holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Meet Betty + Griffyn!
Betty and Griffyn are love bugs. Betty is a 1.5 year old pug, she loves to be attached to your hip and do anything that you’re doing. She has a lot of puppy energy and her favorite activities are playing frisbee in the backyard, throwing her squeaky toys and playing with her enrichment/mental stimulation activities eg. treat puzzles and chasing pet safe peanut butter bubbles. At the end of the day when Betty is absolutely pooped out, she will come over for cuddles- she makes the best snuggler! Griffyn is a 5 year old Great Dane. He is such a good boy and also gives the best snuggles! Griffyn is independent and keeps to himself for the most part, but he will always join us outside to guard/protect us and watch Betty run around. The owner of these two dogs has a heart of gold as she’s not only an amazing dog parent but she’s involved in the neighborhoods feline TNR program.

Meet Skeeter, Gypsy + Jager!
The sweetest trio ever. Skeeter and Gypsy are two adult cats who love attention and are extremely vocal. Skeeter is a tabby, he is one chill cat who loves to smooch up against you. He is a recent amputee but that didn’t stop him from learning how to walk again, he has a need for speed and that’s why I gave him a nickname “Skeeter boi.” Gypsy is a playful boy who enjoys running up his cat tree tower and being a lap cat while he does his air biscuits. Jager is an energetic 4 year old Dutch Shepard/Belgium Mal. He is a big sweetie who loves to run and play for hours, his favorite activity is water play - e.g. playing with the hose and swimming in the pool.

Meet Penny + Jaxon!
Both of these cuties are 10 years old. Penny is a Lab/German Shepard, she’s so sweet and loves to cuddle on the couch with me and play with her squeaky toys. Jax is a sweet chihuahua that enjoys being pet and sleeping on his fluffy dog bed, not only is he a senior dog but a senior dog with Cushing’s Disease.. he is a true champ! I can’t wait to see these two again real soon!!!
