Heads up
***IMPORTANT MICROCHIP MESSAGE***
A microchip company, named, "Save This Life", abruptly ceased operations in the last few weeks. Calls are not being answered and emails are bouncing back. Vet offices who sold STL microchips are doing all possible to help clients get their pets chips re-registered. Save This Life chip numbers start with either 900 or 991. Many other wholesale chip company numbers also start with 900 or 991. You can verify what chip company issued a chip in your pet by putting a chip number in the search bar at : http://aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/? If you find your pet has a Save This Life Chip, you can re-register the chip, for free, at : https://www.freepetchipregistry.com/ OR any of the other chip companies (may incur a registration fee).
FOR BOXER LUV ADOPTERS:
We only have 4 Boxers, previously adopted from us, with a Save This Life microchip implanted. They came to us as owner surrenders with those chips already implanted. They are Bowzer, Bruneaux, Miss Chloe and Toby II. Their microchips were already registered in Boxer Luv's 24 PetWatch account so their family information is still available on chip records. ALL OTHER BOXERS ADOPTED FROM BLR have one of the following chips: AKC Reunite, Home Again or 24PetWatch. NONE OF THE 10,000+ BOXERS ADOPTED FROM BOXER LUV are impacted by the shutdown of "Save This Life".
Feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have any questions about your Boxer's microchip!
