Deaf Dog Awareness Week is Sep 20–26. 👂

Deaf dogs are amazing pets and often bond deeply with their people. A few things to know:

✔ They respond beautifully to hand signals and light cues
✔ Get their attention with a gentle floor-stomp (vibration) or a wave in peripheral vision
✔ Keep them leashed or in secure yards — they can't hear cars
✔ Never sneak up — tap gently on the same spot each time

Ever known a deaf pup? Tell us about them.

Hey everyone!

If you’re coming to see us with your fur babies this Saturday, August 15, please plan for a little extra travel time. Highway 169 will be CLOSED in front of the clinic this weekend due to construction at 109th Avenue.

Closure:
Friday, August 14 at 8 PM through Monday, August 17 at 5 AM.

You’ll still be able to get to us, but you’ll need to take the back way into the clinic rather than your usual route from 169. Please follow the posted detours and give yourself a little extra time.

If you get turned around, stuck in traffic, or are running late for your appointment, just give us a call! Our team is happy to help you figure out how to get here.

Need to pick up food, medications, or anything else?
We’re here until 5 PM TODAY (Friday), so feel free to swing by before the closure starts at 8 PM and save yourself the weekend traffic headache.

We’ll be here Saturday as usual and look forward to seeing you and your pets — just with a slightly more adventurous route to get here!

Hey Champlin!

A planned weekend road closure to accommodate construction activities associated with the 109th Avenue and Highway 169 Project is scheduled for this weekend, August 14-17, 2026. 🚧

Closure Schedule:
🗺 Begins Friday, August 14 at 8pm
🗺 Reopens Monday, August 17 at 5am

Please follow the official detour route shown on the map and allow extra travel time when planning your trips. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important improvement project moves forward.

Questions can be directed to [email protected] or 763-277-8283.
