The temperatures are climbing today and our pups can overheat much faster than we realize.

Please keep an eye out for the warning signs of heat exhaustion and make sure your pets have access to shade, fresh water, and plenty of opportunities to cool down.

Rememberif the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws! 🐾

Stay safe, stay cool, and give your furry family members a little extra TLC during the heat. ❤️

We spend all day with animals and we’re convinced some of them just have the most irrational fears known😂

🎉🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY 🎂🎉

Today we’re celebrating someone who has become an irreplaceable part of The Fur Mama family.

Molly’s journey with us started as a foster family, opening her heart and home to animals in need. From there, she became a pet sitter then stepped into the role of Boarding Director, and most recently earned a well deserved promotion to Operations Manager.

Every step of the way, she has led with compassion, dedication, and an unwavering love for both pets and people. While many people only see the cuddles, walks, and happy tails, Molly is one of the driving forces behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. She puts in long hours, tackles challenges with grace, and somehow still finds time to support the entire team. Her hard work, reliability, and commitment have helped shape The Fur Mama into what it is today.

Molly is also the person who keeps Myeshia sane. She’s the voice reminding her to slow down, take a break, and breathe when there’s always one more thing to do. Every business needs someone like that in their corner and The Fur Mama is incredibly lucky to have Molly in ours.

Molly: thank you for your countless hours, your compassionate heart, your leadership, and everything you do for our clients, their pets, and our team.

The Fur Mama simply wouldn’t be the same without you.

☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER POLICY UPDATE 🐾☀️

As we head into the hotter months of the year, the safety and well being of both our furry clients and our sitters remain our top priority.

When temperatures reach 85°F or higher, full-length walks will no longer be done. Instead, dogs will receive shortened walks of approximately 10–20 minutes, followed by a cool-down period with access to water, shade, and air conditioning when available.

Walk length will be determined based on each dog's:
🐶 Breed
🐶 Size
🐶 Age
🐶 Individual heat tolerance

Even temperatures that feel manageable to us can quickly become dangerous for our pets especially when factoring in hot pavement, humidity, and direct sunlight.
