🚨 This cat was FOUND YESTERDAY in Waynesboro, PA 17268 near Honodel/Marsh Rd.

💬 Finder's Message: "Late yesterday evening, my neighbor found a small kitten in his yard after nearly running over it while mowing. He was able to get the kitten safely into a large dog crate with a blanket, food, and water. Unfortunately, my neighbor left for vacay today, so he asked if I could look after the kitten temporarily and try to figure out what to do with it.
I contacted the Antietam Humane Society, and they were very helpful with guidance, but could not take it.
The kitten looks to be approximately 2–3 months old. It seems quite friendly—when I approach the crate, it purrs and rubs against my fingers when I pet it. I don’t know whether it’s male or female.
Unfortunately, I really can’t keep the kitten at my hse beyond the next 24 hours or so. I have dogs that have free roam of our hse and property, and they are going crazy knowing the kitten is in the garage. I’ve been able to keep everyone safely separated, but it’s not a sustainable situation.
I would really hate to release the kitten back outside, particularly since it seems friendly enough that it may have been around people before.
I’m very happy to help facilitate getting the kitten somewhere safe, including transporting it to a foster if needed. I just need to find a solution fairly quickly, ideally within the next 24 hours."
