I’ve noticed something about Momma Shelby …

I’ve been adding some cooked Hamburg to her kibble to give her some more calories for nursing and she does the same thing each time.

She takes the first bite and brings it to the whelping box and drops it. Then comes out and eats from her bowl. When she’s done she goes back into the whelping box to nurse and picks up the piece she dropped and eats it … every … single … time.

The puppies don’t pay any attention to it (yet) but I think she is thinking that she is giving them the first and best as any Momma does 🥰
