This page began as the story of one woman’s dream to adopt a Devil’s Garden mustang, and the two California horses who came home instead: Devil’s Garden Lagertha and McGavin Peak Floki. Their journey has since grown into a bigger project called Fading Hoofbeats—a long ride with two mustangs to tell the stories of wild horses and the western landscapes they call home.
