🐾 Watson is looking for his forever home. 🐾

This is a post I honestly hoped I wouldn’t have to make. 💔

I took Watson in after his person passed away unexpectedly. Unfortunately, his family wasn’t able to take him either, so I opened my home to him with the intention of giving him a safe place to stay while we figured out what was next. He was only ever supposed to be with me temporarily, but of course, he quickly became part of the family. ❤️

After having him with us, I’ve realized that I unfortunately can’t keep him long-term. My other dog, Hank, has made it clear that he isn’t comfortable sharing his home with Watson, and I’m also just not in a financial place where I can responsibly take on a third dog.

This is absolutely not because Watson is a bad dog. He is a sweet, loving boy who deserves a home where he can feel safe, loved, and spoiled. 🥹

🐶 Watson is an 8–9-year-old Beagle.
❤️ He LOVES to cuddle and be close to his people.
🐾 He does really well with other dogs!
🏡 We are currently working on potty training and getting him into a routine.
💉 My next step is getting him into the vet for vaccinations and to make sure he is up to date on his care.
🐴 He is not a fan of the horses in our backyard, so a home without horses would probably be best.

Watson has already experienced a huge loss and a lot of change. My biggest hope is that his next home will truly be his forever home—somewhere he can spend his remaining years being loved, cuddled, and spoiled. ❤️

🐾 Hank’s Haven Update 🐾

I wanted to give everyone a little update regarding boarding. For the time being, I am temporarily not accepting any new boarding clients.

With Watson joining our home and everything that comes with caring for him right now, I’ve realized that taking on additional boarding dogs would be a little more than I can comfortably manage. My priority is making sure every dog in my care gets the time, attention, and love they deserve. ❤️

This is only a temporary pause on new boarding clients, and I’m hoping to be able to open my books back up in the future!

✨ Drop-in visits are still available! ✨ So if you need someone to check in on your pups while you’re away, I’m still happy to help.

🐾Watson Update 🐾

Watson spent the day with our friends at Chamberlain Vet Supply. He was checked out by Dr. Ashley and her wonderful staff. Right now our main concerns are helping his feet heal and putting him on a diet. He had the rest of his nails clipped and was given a foot bath (sounds like he LOVED this part) She did share that he has quite a few masses that will need to be checked in the future. As of now he is being monitored and loved up on here at our house. Thank you everyone for the continued prayers and donations. You have no idea how helpful it is!

We visited Yellow Dog Grooming Company today for a much needed nail trim! I was able to get him some antibacterial spray for his open wounds and clean up his ears. Thank you again for those who have donated, shared, and prayed for Watson. I am hoping we can get him to the vet tomorrow!

🐾 A little update on Watson 🐾

Watson is settling in so well and is already fitting right in with our pack. ❤️ It has been so sweet watching him get comfortable and realize that he is safe, loved, and surrounded by people who care about him.

We are asking for some extra prayers for this sweet boy right now. His feet are in pretty rough condition, and they seem to be causing him some pain. 💔 I’m hoping to get him into the vet on Monday so we can figure out exactly what’s going on and get him the care he needs to be comfortable again.

I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to help with Watson’s vet expenses. Your generosity means so much and is making it possible for me to give this sweet boy the care he needs. ❤️ Every donation, prayer, message, and share is truly appreciated more than I can put into words.

After everything Watson has been through, he deserves nothing but love, patience, and a chance to be happy and healthy. Please keep this sweet boy in your prayers as we help him through this next chapter. 🐾🤍

Our community is facing the heartbreaking loss of someone who was truly one of the sweetest, most genuine people you could ever meet. His loss has left a hole in the hearts of so many, and it has also left behind his beloved companion, Watson. 🐾

I have had the privilege of taking Watson in and giving him a safe place to land while we figure out what comes next for him. He is such a sweet boy, and I want to make sure he gets the care he deserves. ❤️

Watson will need a veterinary visit to get him caught up on his care. Depending on what the vet finds, this may include vaccinations, deworming, and possibly lab work. As you can imagine, those expenses can add up quickly.

If anyone would like to help Watson get the veterinary care he needs, any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this post would also be a huge help.

Most importantly, I want Watson to know that he is still loved and cared for. His person may no longer be here to take care of him, but his story isn’t over. We are going to do everything we can to give this sweet boy the happy, healthy life he deserves. 🐶💙

What a paws-itively awesome weekend we had at Hank’s Haven! 🐾💕

Our house was full of wagging tails, happy pups, zoomies, and—of course—LOTS of dog cuddles! 🐶❤️ There’s nothing better than spending the weekend loving on these sweet faces and making sure they felt right at home.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing clients for trusting us with your furry family members. We loved every minute with them and can’t wait to welcome everyone back for more tail wags and snuggles! 🦴🐕
