ROANIE — 2023 AQHA RED ROAN MARE
Meet Roanie (Smart Boon Chic), a gorgeous 2023 AQHA red roan mare, foaled June 8, 2023. AQHA #6296891. Bred by Carl Hickey in Wyoming.
Roanie has spent the last 90 days with a professional cow/rope trainer and is coming out of training sound, confident, quiet-minded and riding exceptionally well.
She has a solid foundation with good stops, correct leads, cattle exposure, ranch work and roping exposure. She has also been hauled, ridden outside and on the trails, and has gained the confidence and experience you’d want in a young prospect.
Roanie has the mind, athleticism and pedigree to continue in a number of directions. She would make an exciting ranch versatility, rope or cow-horse prospect for someone looking for a quality young mare to finish their way.
Her pedigree includes Smart Chic Olena, Doc’s Hickory and Peptoboonsmal bloodlines.
