REGISTRATION IS OPEN: Bernie Traurig at Chagrin Valley Farms, September 18-20

One of the great teachers in our sport is back, and this time there's something for every level.

Friday, September 18
Professionals, morning sessions, $250 (3'0" and below / 3'3" and up)
Academy Riders, evening sessions, $250 (walk-trot-canter over crossrails / 18"-2'0"). New this year, and a real chance for our developing riders to work with an Olympian-level clinician.

Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20
Weekend clinic, $500 for both days, grouped by height: 2'0"-2'3", 2'6"-2'9", 3'0"-3'3", 3'6" and up.

Want to watch instead? Auditing is $25 per day, all three days, everyone welcome. Bring a notebook. Watching Bernie teach is an education by itself.

Overnight stalls $50/night, hay and bedding available.

Weekend Barn Help

Part-Time | Weekends

Responsibilities include:

Cleaning stalls
Feeding horses
Turnout and bringing horses in
General horse care
Barn maintenance
And other duties as assigned

We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in providing exceptional care for our horses and facility.

Tack Assistant

Part-Time | Evenings & Weekends

Responsibilities include:

Assisting students with grooming and tacking
Horse care and handling
Bathing horses
Laundry
Cleaning tack and equipment
Helping maintain an organized and safe barn
Assisting trainers as needed
And other duties as assigned

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with horse experience who enjoys working with riders and wants to be part of a positive learning environment.

Qualifications
Horse experience preferred (required for Tack Assistant position)
Reliable and punctual
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in all weather conditions
Team player with excellent communication skills

🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 What a fantastic way to kick off our 4th of July show week at the 2026 Chagrin Hunter Jumper Classic Opening Week! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

We had an incredible opening week with our riders, horses, and team! A huge thank you to everyone who works so hard to make this wonderful horse show possible—from the dedicated volunteers, to our in-house staff, grounds crew, officials, and everyone behind the scenes. We are so grateful to host this event every year and appreciate all the hard work that goes into making it such a special week.

Now for some results! 🎉

Hunter Land 🌲🌼

❄️🌊 Katherine Berkner aboard our own Snow on the Beach started our week off with strong rounds in the Limit Hunter division, placing in the top three in both under saddles in a very competitive group. We are so thankful to have Kat working with us this summer, and the time and dedication she has put into this mare is shining both in and out of the show ring. Thank you for all you do, Kat!

👾✨ Vivian Walters and her own Dreamland's Escapade came to play in the Special Hunter division, finishing Reserve Champion. Well done, Viv!

👑🚦 Anna Schneider aboard her own Royal Street finished 5th in the 2'6"-3' Non-Pro Hunter Derby and won her medal! Great riding, Anna!

🦊❤️ Anna Schneider and her very own Foxmore Lovestruck won the $500 Opening Weekend 2'0"/2'3" Non-Pro Hunter Derby! She was Champion of the Children’s ponies division and these two were nothing but in sync all week long. We are so so proud, Anna!

🤪🙊 Harper Smith with our Shenanigans placed in the top three in both over-fence rounds in the Pre-Limit division among a large, competitive group. Great work, Harper!

🐌🍃 Alanna McNally and our Slow Drift also competed in the Pre-Limit division, finishing in the ribbons with a 5th-place finish. Nice work, Alanna!

Jumper Land 💨🎇

🍾🪩 Barbara Pobuck and her partner in crime Tiz Thirsty had fantastic rounds all week, improving with every class. They finished 2nd and consistently placed in the top five throughout the .70–.75 Beginner Jumpers. You two are so much fun to watch, Barb!

🧞‍♂️✨ Ben Kaman and our own Houdini had a great week in the .70 Jumpers, even winning their Optimum Time round! Ben also suited up in the fancy white pants and competed in his first Classic. It's always a pleasure having you, Ben!

🧨❤️‍🔥 Stephanie Hobbs and her own Spark had a great time in the Intermediate Child/Adult Jumpers. This was their first outdoor jumper show together, and they had some wonderful moments. We can't wait to watch this partnership continue to grow!

Academy Kids 🤓🍎

🫧🛁 Harper Kaman and her new lease mount, our Bubble Bath, had fantastic rounds in the Walk-Trot-Canter Crossrail division, finishing 2nd and consistently placing in the top five throughout her classes. We are loving this new partnership! Way to go, Harper!

🦅💨 Camryn Pellegrini and our Great Poko Smoke had great rounds in a large Walk-Trot Crossrail division, finishing 3rd in the under saddle and earning a 2nd over fences. Camryn, we are so proud of you and excited to watch your continued progress!

🕛🍿 Nadia Shatat and our Midnight Snack were Reserve Champions in the Walk-Trot Poles division! Your confidence continues to grow both in and out of the arena, and we couldn't be prouder!

💃👟 June Rodenfel and our Sammy Shuffle had great rounds in the Walk-Trot Poles division as well, finishing with a 2nd and two 3rds. We are proud of you, June!

🍯😇 Madison Gordon piloted our Honeysuckle Haze through her very first horse show! Emotions were high, but she finished strong and came home with some great ribbons and prizes. Way to stick with it, Maddie Rose!

As we head into Rated Week, we're carrying the same excitement and momentum forward! We couldn't be more proud of every horse and rider for an amazing opening week, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the show has in store for our CVF Team💚💛
