If you didn’t know it’s National Garlic Day. I’ve got a confession for all my friends and family out there. We here at Big Chungus Garlic got embarrassed last year selling our garlic at The Wild Ramp. I won’t go into details but we are stepping up our efforts to grow and sell the finest Garlic in the great state of West Virginia. That’s my commitment to you. Yours Truly Big Chungus!

So I’m harvesting some of my Garlic today. I’ve got three different varieties growing this year. I didn’t mark them but I believe the first is Early Italian Purple. This represents 1 lb. of Garlic seed. I got about 90 bulbs from it. There’s a Chungus amoungus and he grows damn good garlic!

These Garlic Scapes came from half of my Garlic plants. I have one bed hard necks and one bed soft necks. The hard necks are the only ones that produce scapes.( I didn’t know either I had to ask.)Poopy the frog oversees all things Garlic. There’s a Chungus amoungus and he grows damn good garlic.

I dug up one of each variety of the Garlic we’re growing here at Big Chungus. They look good but I think it’s still a week or two away from being just right. There’s a Chungus amoungus and he grows damn good Garlic.
