“So, not only did I loose some teeth, but I’m bald!”.

Poor Sam! Unfortunately, because he’s so uncooperative when it comes to grooming, we had to do what was necessary and he got shaved down while he was sedated. He absolutely hates being handled, and he gets so worked up that almost any attempt to groom him triggers a seizure. It may not be perfect, but sometimes we have to put practicality ahead of appearances and just do the best we can for him. Besides, he’s still very handsome in our eyes, hair or no hair!
His bloodwork also showed beginning kidney failure and possible Cushings (hence the potbelly). The vet said we will keep our eye on it, but his kidney failure will most likely be a problem for him sooner 😩. For now he’s happy and that’s all that matters!

Sweet Sam, with his ever-present head tilt, is relaxing today.

Tomorrow he goes for a much-needed dental and a little spa treatment to get him all cleaned up and handsome! Since Sam would rather have my fingers for lunch than let me groom him, we’re taking full advantage of the opportunity!

If you’d like to help with Sam’s dental expenses, any contribution would be so appreciated. ❤️

What do you think the odds are of Tiffany leaving this cozy little spot to go outside and potty in this? 😂☔️🐾

Once again this $5 Friday, we’re asking for your help. I hate having to ask, but caring for our senior and hospice dogs comes with ongoing veterinary expenses.
One week’s vet visits for Bella, Daisy, and CiCi totaled $700.42, not including our other expenses.
As always, no amount is too small, and all donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for supporting our little ones, it means more than you know.

These 2 are laying the guilt on me because it’s time to wake up and it’s still dark outside. I feel their pain.
