So….. why do we still have Blue? Why hasn’t he gone home yet? He’s SO chill. When the other dogs are jumping on the fence at meal time, this guy just waits on his bed patiently and looks at you with the most trusting eyes… he knows his turn is coming.

💔🙏🏼Update on our Hershey. He found the most perfect foster-to-adopt home but he was returned to us after an incident with the cat in the home. 😭 Hershey can’t do cats. We are here again looking for a comfortable home where Hershey can continue his heart-worm journey. He is such a sweet boy, he LOVES people and does great with children. He is good with other dogs, has wonderful manners, and rides like a dream in the car.

He will come with a beautiful dog bed, a huge bag of dog food and other goodies that were purchased for him by his foster mom. She was so sad to bring him back. She said he was the most PERFECT dog 😭💔

If he can stay with you (while we provide his heart worm treatment) then stay with you forever, let us know.

Not so great update on the thin fella we picked up last week. His owner did come forward and decided to surrender him to our care but was able to give us some info on him. He is a chocolate lab, Red Doberman mix! We named him Hershey 🤎
We took him to the vet and learned a few things. Unfortunately, ❤️‍🩹He is heartworm +
🙏🏼 he is negative for Lyme and Erlichia (thank goodness)
🤔he is missing a lot of teeth! The vet believes it’s a result of malnutrition as a puppy. He doesn’t think all his teefs ever broke the surface!!

He is starting his heart worm journey with a full belly, lots of love and attention, and a super comfy bed.

Send healing vibes his way. He is the sweetest, most gentle soul. We are entertaining a foster to adopt home where he can comfortably heal outside the shelter environment. If you think this boy could stay with you for a while or forever, let us know.

Hey Marion county 1st an update our 9 puppies they are doing great. Saturday July 4th they will be ready for their fur ever homes . We are all happy dancing at the shelter. 2nd we need fitted sheets please. New or used we will take them all. 3 of the pups have already been spoken for. Thank you so much for all the love and support we could not do this without our community 😊

🩷OUR little monkey, Lena went home today! Her new dad put in his application and came to the shelter looking for a dog. He wanted to see who he connected with and Lena was THE ONE! She will be so, so spoiled! Happy tails precious girl! 🩷
