I found some big 💩 walking my dogs yesterday morning.

Bears may wander closer to homes while searching for food, so please stay alert—especially if you live near wooded areas.

A few important reminders:

🐾 Check your yard before letting dogs outside.
🐾 Keep dogs close and never allow them to chase or corner a bear.
🗑️ Secure garbage, compost and other food waste.
🥣 Never leave pet food outdoors.
🐦 Bring in bird feeders, including hummingbird feeders.
🍎 Pick up fallen fruit and clean outdoor grills.
🚪 If you see a bear, bring pets inside, give it plenty of space and never approach it for a photo.

Removing food attractants helps protect your family, your pets and the bear. Once bears associate homes with food, they are more likely to return.
