June is National Microchipping Month!

We all know that microchips can save lives and reunite pets with their owners in the unfortunate case that they are lost, but it's more important than you may think. Just like humans, identification is also important for animals and can make a huge difference in certain situations.
·
Besides helping return lost pets to their rightful owners, microchips can also store data on medical or health complications your pets may have and can alert a vet if they are found without their owners. It's also more permanent than a collar and can't accidentally slip off or be removed.
·
This technology is also expanding into other areas of pet care, such as doggie doors or feeders that will only open for your pet's microchip.
·
Remember to regularly update your pet's microchip information, especially if you have recently moved or changed phone numbers. Outdated information will do no good if your pet goes missing and is trying to find its way home.
·
