We are due to arrive 9:15 to 9:20 at Klamath county fair grounds. We will be around back in a white 4 door ford pickup with white 4 horse enclosed Morgan trailer.

We are prepping and loading for Saturday’s trip! 1st stop, Klamath County Fairgrounds, 2nd stop Lost River FFA barn, then on towards Lakeview. If you have not reached out and made a deposit to guarantee a spot, it is not too late. If you are looking for a pig for July, August, or early September fairs there will be extra pigs added for those to choose from who have made deposits. We will be coming back through Klamath in the evening and can stop briefly for those interested looking in the the trailer if 9AM is too early.

Lakeview- Community “animal barn” - 3:30 PM

We plan to bring the bagged feed that the pigs are on currently for those in Lakeview for purchase.

Our barns will be open to the public today for those looking for July, August, and September show pigs. We will also be open Sunday for late afternoon appointments.

We are still in possession of 25-30 show pigs for July, August, and early September fairs and need to empty out the barn in the next couple of weeks.

We kept our reservation list shorter than we should have given the number of great pigs available. Our barn is open for shopping! Could this be YOU this year? Reach out for an appointment.

I am a believer in not boasting about how well things are going or not picking a favorite pig early on because sure enough I’ll jinx something. In fun, I don’t let my barn help say or pick favorites either because of “jinxing” a piglet, litter or sow. Truth is, it’s hard to pick favorites this year as there are a LOT of good looking piglets although still a bit young and not all vaccinations are complete.
I can say that we are working our tails off to make sure all are healthy and growing strong. We are close to weaning a few litters (yes, we leave them on a little longer than most to reduce stress).

We are still a little ways out before photographing individual piglets. This will be quite the chore as we have MANY.
In the meantime we are still taking reservations.

Update on the farrowing barns. Our barn matriarch that never misses on a solid competitive litters delivered as expected some top notch beefy and big-boned piglets. Our two pure York influenced sisters and purebred spot have blessed us with huge litters.

A little update from Wild Weast Show Pigs. The Hog Gods blessed us with a very fruitful breeding season. We are expecting several litters of terminal crossbred show pigs, breeding prospects, and one purebred spot litter for those who want something a little different to show as breeding at fair or to jackpot with. Dates are November 30 to January 3 for June-August/Early September Fairs. If you avoid auctions, we are taking reservations. $150/pig deposit. Non-refundable (unless we are unable to fill your order). Message for more information if you like.

You'll note some lines are new, while others are generational. Some of you that study genetic lines wil see that some of our girls have duroc in them as well as a couple others that are yorkshire influence. This was planned as we wanted to ensure our customers are afforded predictability breeds that pass on highly desired physical and performance traits, such as an exceptional muscular build, fast growth rate, and overall hardiness - also known as hybrid vigor.

We keep what generates success for our customers. We are able to predict growth/weight and help steer buyers to select from appropriate litters for their fair date, and that is not always by the birthdate.

We are going to get really, REALLY busy on our short-handed farm, and so sharing pictures will happen when we have the time.

To all our hog breeding friends, good luck this year. Stay strong, healthy, and know that God won't give you more than He feels you can handle. It's hammer time folks!
