That’s a wrap on show season!

As we officially close out the show season, we hope everyone had a great, safe, and fun year!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who supported the American Myotonic Goat Club during our first year. We appreciate your patience as we grew, and worked through the learning curve along the way.

A huge shout-out to our board members, committee members, and volunteers who gave their time and effort to help make this year a success. We were excited to see the turnout in the market classes and are grateful to everyone who participated. We also want to extend a special thank-you to Western Kentucky Livestock Market for their generosity and for providing opportunities for our members.

The end of show season doesn't mean the end of learning! We encourage our youth to stay involved with MGR Youth and take advantage of AMGC opportunities to continue learning, building leadership skills, making connections, and growing as future leaders in the livestock industry.

A reminder to our youth: American Myotonic Goat Club Youth Leader Program applications are due November 1, 2026! We encourage everyone interested to apply and get involved.

Although show season is over, we aren't slowing down! Keep an eye on this page and your email for updates, new opportunities, and plans to keep our club moving forward throughout the winter.

Interested in serving on a committee or helping with volunteer projects? We'd love to hear from you! Reach out to us at [email protected].

Thank you for being part of our first year. We look forward to building on this momentum and making the year ahead even better!

2026 Show Season has been a blast! Driving around the country with my bluegrass besties proved to be a really fun time and we all had successes along the way!

I wrapped up the show season with WP Reverse Flash winning Reserve Senior Buck in Show 1 and he was awarded Second Place Show Buck for the 2026 show season with the Myotonic Goat Registry!

A special thanks to WP FARM for allowing us the opportunity to own him!

Congrats to everyone for their accomplishments this weekend as well as throughout the show season!

A special thanks to Lisa Edinger at Brass Ring Awards for such beautiful rosettes!

🐐💙 A HUGE THANK YOU TO WESTERN KENTUCKY LIVESTOCK AUCTION! 💙🐐

We are incredibly grateful to Western Kentucky Livestock Auction for stepping up to support the Myotonic Goat Registry National Show and the MGR Market Wether Program!

They have graciously volunteered to come to Nationals in Powderly, KY, on Saturday and pick up our market wethers after the show, purchasing those animals at market price.

This is the kind of local support that makes a HUGE difference! Not only are they supporting our National Show, but they are also helping promote the Myotonic breed and create opportunities for our breeders right here in Western Kentucky. 🐐❤️
