Foxworthy is one of our adoptable dogs. He is fun, loves to play, house trained and enjoys walks. He would prefer to be an only dog but he does get along with some dogs so a meet and greet will be required. Apply to adopt today at:

If ever you needed another reason to spay your dog here it is.

Pyometra is a killer.

I have just researched this and it is scary as hell. In this girl, undergoing heartworm treatment and on steroids her symptoms were easily explained until her tummy expanded with the infection nearly overnight.

She spent 2 days at the emergency vet and another at our vet. IV antibiotics, pain and other meds and emergency surgery which was extremely dangerous due to her heartworms.

We had no choice. We had to risk the dangers of surgery on a heavy heartworm positive dog to hopefully save her life.

Middle Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center was amazing and they succeeded in saving this sweet girl. So huge thanks to them!

This whole scary, expensive, life threatening ordeal could have been avoided if she had been spayed. Spay and neuter saves lives. And not just those of unwanted babies left on the side of a road to die.

Please, spay and neuter your pets. Have a heart. Save a life.❤️
