FINAL UPDATE ON CHANCE FROM SPECIALIST...
The specialist has confirmed no breaks or sprains, however he has tendinitis in that front left ankle. Both doctors have said crate him until September 11th, let him jump minimum on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th and save him for Sunday the 13th for year end finals if he makes it. (This may be his last regional event). Then he is crated with very limited exercise for the next 4 to 6 months. Thank you Kyra Ashley and Heather at Castleton veterinarian for all your help and information. Looks like Chance will start laser therapy this winter.

UPDATE!!! Good news for Chance. He has Lyme and a possible soft tissue injury or bone bruise. X-rays are being sent to a specialist. The vet said as long as those don't come back with a hair line fracture, which she did not see but wants a specialist to look at, he can go to UDD YEAR END FINALS. I should know on the X-rays by Saturday or Monday. Thank goodness since I will have to enter him on Monday. He is on doxy for Lyme and an anti-inflammatory medication and crate rest.

As many of you know Chance jumped his personal best at 15'8" last week at for and . Unfortunately Friday morning something happened and his front left ankle swelled up. We pulled him from competition that day and all day Saturday until finals. At finals Chance would not jump. We have kept him crated and the swelling stayed down. Today i tried to let him outside in one of our pens and nope the bump came back. He is going to the vet tomorrow to see what he did and to have x-rays. He earned an invite to year end finals for UDD. We will know more tomorrow and see if he can make it to finals. I will keep you all posted. Pray for Chance! 🥰🥰

Today we say goodbye to a very special lady. CH Green Mountain Abby’s Clear Objective. She always completed her Objectives through her whole life. Abby is just over 14 years old and is my mom's Barbara Krysztofik soul dog. You will be missed deeply.

Chance made his personal best of 15 feet 8 inches but at finals he was still sore from an injury that occurred on Friday, so he wouldn't jump at finals. Don't worry he will recuperate and be back on the dock. He went into finals in second place.

Cali took 2nd place in her division with a new personal best of 14 feet 1 inch. She also tried speed for her first time and got a 8.8 second run. She finished 7th in her division. Cali started on Wednesday with a 6 foot personal best at an event for the fly dogs about 2 weeks ago. This was her second time competing.

Day 2 in the books for , , , . Chance is already exhausted. We will see what he's like tomorrow, trying to save him for finals, if we make the bubble, but also trying to earn his first title for UDD.. Cali received another personal best of 9 feet 9 inches with no hesitation. This is only her second event in a pool. Thankfully to Zach (i hope that's his name from ) with his help yesterday, Cali has already improved so very much our goal is a 10 foot jump. ,

Come out to the Vermont State Fair and watch your hometown and your state dogs and humans causing some splashes and possibly even some hilarious spectacles. (None of us want to make you laugh but it happens 🤣🤣) MAKE A LOT OF NOISE AND ROO ROO ROO ON THESE AMAZING DOGS OF ALL SIZES AND BREEDS AND THEIR HANDLERS.
