🐾 Sweet little Joey, groomed by Willow! 🐾

We love our senior pups, and Joey is no exception! Willow has been grooming Joey for quite some time, and he has truly become a salon favorite. Everyone looks forward to his visits and loves giving him plenty of cuddles. With his adorable expressions and wonderful personality, he always brings smiles to our team!

At A Clip Above, we recognize the importance of providing low-stress, compassionate, and gentle-touch grooming for our senior four-legged clients. 🐾 Calle, the sweet Scottish Terrier, was groomed by Angelica! We absolutely love our terriers at A Clip Above. Whether we’re hand stripping or clipper grooming, we take pride in creating beautiful breed-specific patterns that keep each terrier looking fresh, fabulous, and true to their breed standard.

This week, we had to say goodbye to one of our incredible team members and cherished salon family at A Clip Above. 💙

For nearly two years, Josh has brought so much more than talent to our salon — he brought heart, kindness, positivity, laughter, and an energy that made every day brighter. His gentle nature, warm smile, dedication to his clients, and genuine care for everyone around him made a lasting impact on our entire team, as well as the pets and families he cared for.

We are also incredibly proud of the growth Josh achieved during his time with us. In such a short period, his dedication, talent, and passion for grooming truly set him apart. His hard work and natural ability earned him one of only eight exclusive spots in our Mastery Class, where he began working toward becoming a National Certified Master Groomer.

Josh devoted tremendous effort and commitment to the program, and we were so proud to watch him — alongside the rest of the class — successfully pass his first written certification exam on the path toward earning his NCMG certification. We truly hope he continues pursuing this incredible accomplishment, because his future in this industry is exceptionally bright.

While we are incredibly sad to see him go, we are also so excited for this next chapter as he moves back to California to be closer to family.

Josh, thank you for everything you’ve brought to A Clip Above. Your kindness, talent, dedication, and presence will be deeply missed, and your impact on this salon will not be forgotten. We hope you keep in touch and visit often — A Clip Above will always be your home. 💙

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, service, and dedication will never be forgotten.

From all of us at A Clip Above, we are deeply grateful to those who gave everything for our freedom. We also extend our appreciation to the military families who carry their legacy every day.

Another stunning photo of Brisket visiting us again for a spa day! ✨

This beautiful Shetland Sheepdog was expertly bathed, fluff dried, and beautifully finished by Rachael.

Double-coated breeds require a very specialized grooming process to properly maintain both the health of the skin and the integrity of the coat. The outer top coat and dense undercoat must be thoroughly cleansed, carefully dried, and meticulously brushed through to safely remove shedding top coat and loose undercoat while protecting the natural texture and function of the coat.

Proper maintenance for breeds like the Sheltie not only keeps them looking gorgeous, but also helps support healthy skin, proper insulation, and overall comfort. Brisket was an absolute pleasure to have back in the salon! 🐾✨

What an ultimate traveling groomer! Donny Buckenmeyer a CA Groom salon owner and National Certified Master Groomer, working in our salon was nothing short of amazing. The last time Donny was here, he joined our master class, teaching and sharing his knowledge and experiences alongside Blake and Andrew. This time, our staff had the opportunity to groom alongside him in an everyday salon setting! We had a blast!

We are beyond grateful for the time, talent, knowledge, and positivity Donny brought to our team, and we already can’t wait for the next visit!🫶🏻💕🐾

Kay’s vibrant personality shines throughout the entire salon every single day! Her love for animals, her love for people, and her dedication to always going above and beyond are truly outstanding. We are so grateful to have her as one of our senior Front End team members!

Kay helps navigate the front end of our salon, creates and perfects scheduling, and takes incredible care of our clients each and every day. She is often the very first point of contact for our clients, as well as an essential support system for our groomers — helping coordinate schedules, preferences, daily needs, and ensuring everything runs smoothly for both our team and our clients.

Her hard work, positivity, organization, and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything she brings to the salon every day.

We look forward to many more years with Kay and are so excited to watch her continue to grow within our company. Congratulations on being our Employee of the Month! 💖👏

Today, we want to dedicate this post to the beautiful little Pomeranian, Piper. 💔🐾

Piper recently passed away at 15 years old, and for the past 14 years, it has been our absolute honor to groom and care for her here at the salon. We loved every single moment we spent with her, and she truly became one of our favorites over the years.

We’ll be sharing some photos of Piper when she was young, vibrant, and full of personality, along with some beautiful gray-whiskered senior photos that captured just how sweet and precious she was in her golden years. She brought so much joy to our salon, and she will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

Thank you so much to Piper’s owners for trusting us with her care for so many years. Natasha, along with the rest of our staff, cherished every appointment with little Miss Piper and loved her like family.

We know she’s now bouncing around happily at the Rainbow Bridge with all of her furry friends. 🌈🐶
