Without further ado, I give you Samson- commissioned by a friend, for a mutual friend's birthday. What a treat. I love dogs and cats of course but horses were my first love, from childhood.

Samson is a rescued shire with an amazing story, living the retirement life pastured in north central texas.
This 11x14" portrait is my first black ballpoint on tinted drawing paper, and features the use of white colored pencil to set off his bald face. I'm super happy with the results and plan to offer this combo to other customers as well.

Today's new work is Bella, from right here in Texas! A 5x7" cutie who makes her dad so happy- a housewarming gift.
