Good afternoon everyone. Just a heads up that we have been seeing increased numbers of pets ( cats and dogs) with fleas. I'm not talking about a couple fleas, they are loaded with fleas and flea dirt. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have your pets on flea prevention. Flea infestation can cause flea dermatitis, parasite infection with tapeworm and flea bite anemia which can kill your pet. This also causes havoc at my shop. A pet infested with fleas causes me to close down shop and flea bomb/ spray my shop. I lose money, time and I'm now inconveniencing other clients who I have to reschedule. When I flea bomb, my shop is closed for at least 24 hours because I have to cover up/ remove equipment, flea bomb/ spray shop and then wipe down all surfaces that have the flea killer residue. So, when I ask if your pet is on flea medication and do not have fleas, I'm not being picky or mean, I'm trying to keep my shop clean and safe for everyone. I regularly clean and spray down my shop with pet safe flea spray. When a pet is infested and I cannot control the level of infestation, I have to resort to pesticides to kill them. I appreciate all my clients and I appreciate all of you that take those steps to keep your pets safe and healthy.❤️

Due to flooding in our home and property the shop will be closed until Monday. I will contact those clients with appointments to get rescheduled. Stay safe everyone. ❤️🙏

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that I can no longer groom standard breed and large breed dogs. Due to ongoing health issues and not having a consistent bather/assistant I cannot continue to offer services. I will honor my clients that have appointments already booked through the end of the year. I appreciate each and every one of you, but having to reschedule due to injury or lack of staff isn't fair to anyone. I have reached out to fellow groomers in order to help those affected find someone.❤️

Sometimes when you are spicy you get the kitty cat muzzle. But Miss Charlee is quite the beautiful, sweet, purry princess when she is done being groomed.

If anyone is missing a young tuxedo kitten on Summit St.by the Catholic Cemetery it was unfortunately hit by a car. I picked it up and will bury it. ♥️🥹

“Why does it cost more?”

People often assume that if a groom costs more, it’s because it takes longer.

Sometimes it does.

But a lot of times, it doesn’t.

A senior pet.

A seizure-prone pet.

A behaviorally challenged pet.

A medically fragile pet.

Those appointments don’t just require more time. They require more judgment.

Knowing when to stop.

Knowing when to take a break.

Knowing when to change the haircut.

Knowing when the safest decision isn’t the prettiest one.

You’re not paying for the extra 30 minutes.

You’re paying for the years it took your groomer to know what to do in those 30 minutes.

Experience has value.

Just because someone can do something efficiently doesn’t mean it was easy to learn. In fact, it’s usually the opposite.

Groomers, what’s one skill that took you years to develop but now feels second nature?

Took a class with my idol Mr. Blake Hernandez this morning. We learned a lot of useful information on bathing dogs and cats. I love his no nonsense style to teaching as he tells it like it is. We are so excited to come home and put some new education into grooming your puppers and kitties. Oh and check out his gorgeous mane of hair! 😍
