🎒📚 BACK TO SCHOOL = THE END OF FREE CHILD LABOR! 😂💩

Well, folks… the backpacks are packed, the alarm clocks are set, the kids are back in school… and suddenly the adults have lost their summertime dog-p**p employees. 😬

For the last few months, you’ve been able to casually say, “Hey kids, go pick up the yard.”

But now?
They have homework.
Sports.
Activities.
Friends.
A million things that apparently are more important than scooping p**p 🙄

And just like that… YOU’RE BACK ON P**P DUTY💩

Except now, you’re also trying to get everyone back into a routine, remember what day it is, figure out who needs to be where and when, make dinner, keep up with laundry, and somehow locate the missing water bottle that was literally in the house 30 seconds ago 🤦‍♀️

So let me make ONE thing easier:

I’ll scoop the p**p. You handle the chaos. 😎💩

Whether you need a one-time cleanup to get your yard back under control or you’re ready to permanently retire from the glamorous world of backyard p**p patrol, Matter of Doody has you covered!

✔️ Contactless & faceless service
✔️ Online monthly invoicing
✔️ Quick response time (because I know you don’t have time to wait around!)
✔️ Before/after text updates & gate photos available upon request

Tune in to KCRG Everyday Iowa tomorrow morning around 9:30 to see yours truly talk about Fur Fun Rescue!

As you all know, MOD is connected and a big supporter and foster family for Fur Fun!

I’ll even have one of our adoptable pups Karl there with me!

(Just WAIT until you see this sweet boy!)

I will be discussing the group’s adoption process, the importance of an excellent veterinary history and background with any of your previous pets as well as our requirement for adopters to have a physical fence.

Soooooo, this is what I’ve been up to the last 24 hours! My husband Cody and I are trying to save this little pup named Beans!

He came here 24 hours ago on IV fluids and covered in dried blood from his wounds.

He’s stable and cleaned up a little tonight. (Thanks mom!)

He’s eating and doing some regular doggie things.

He has a super long road ahead of him due to his traumatic brain injury and probable long-term neurological deficits.

For now, he is getting lots of snuggles and naps to rest and heal his brain.

As always, thank you to Fur Fun for taking on his most likely very expensive care and to my husband for going along on this ride once again!

Follow (and consider donating to) Fur Fun Rescue to keep up with his story, and all the other amazing pups in their care🐶💕

For now, back to snuggling and napping

Meet Beans. ❤️

Sometimes the phone rings, and you know before you answer that someone's life is about to change.

Monday afternoon, Dr. Cassie at Anamosa Veterinary Clinic called us about a tiny 17-week-old Chihuahua puppy named Beans. He weighs just 3 pounds, and he had been attacked by another dog.

His injuries were devastating. Beans had a fractured skull, a fractured jaw, swelling around his brain, and severe swelling on the side of his face near his jugular vein. His owners loved him, but they simply didn't have the financial resources to provide the emergency care he desperately needed.

When the veterinary clinic that is always there for Fur Fun Rescue asks if we can help, we do everything we can to say yes.

Beans was surrendered to Fur Fun Rescue, and Dr. Cassie immediately got to work. She started IV medications to reduce the swelling in his brain and began treating his injuries.

That evening, RVT Tammy Mysak took Beans home with her so he wouldn't be alone. She monitored him throughout the night and changed his IV fluids as needed, giving this tiny puppy around-the-clock care.

By Tuesday morning, Beans had made a small but encouraging step forward. He was interested enough to lick some canned puppy food, and the team was able to fit him with a muzzle to help stabilize his fractured jaw.

Tuesday evening, Beans moved to our foster home with Cyndie Homewood. When Cyndie isn't rescuing dogs, she's a NICU nurse, making her uniquely qualified to care for such a fragile little patient. She checked on Beans every hour throughout the night, making sure he stayed comfortable and watching closely for any changes.

This morning brought even more good news. Beans was stable enough to have his IV removed and transition to oral medications. He can blink with both eyes, and he follows Cyndie everywhere with his eyes when she moves around the room. The swelling on his face has started to go down, and although he's still wobbly and unsteady on his feet, he has one thing going for him that every caregiver loves to see...He's ravenous.

Today was also another milestone. For the first time since his attack, Cyndie was able to gently clean all of the dried blood from his tiny body. It may seem like a small thing, but it was a sign that Beans was finally stable enough for a little extra TLC. Now, instead of looking like a trauma patient, he's beginning to look like the puppy he's meant to be.

Best of all, Beans has not had any seizures.

We don't know what the future holds for this little guy. Brain injuries can be unpredictable, and it's simply too early to know what his long-term prognosis will be.

For now, Beans has exactly what he needs: expert veterinary care, a skilled foster home, good medications, plenty of nourishment, and people who refuse to give up on him.

Please keep this tiny fighter in your thoughts as he continues to heal.

Choosing your scooping schedule is kind of like choosing your personality… 😂💩

🐶 Weekly Customer:
“I love my dogs with my whole heart… but I refuse to negotiate with their p**p.
Not today. Not tomorrow.
Not ever!
Cyndie….just make it disappear every week so I can pretend it never happened!”

🐾 Every Other Week Customer:
“I could keep up with it… in theory.
But life happens
Weekends disappear
Somehow my yard starts looking like a canine minefield!
Every other week keeps me honest.”

🌱 Monthly Customer:
“I scoop… occasionally.
For the most part.
I can handle the easy stuff.
The corners, flower beds, fence lines, and mystery p**p from 3 weeks ago?
Nope….that is officially Cyndie’s problem!”

The best schedule is the one that fits your life.

Whether you want me there every week or just once a month for backup, I’ve got you covered! 👊🏻

No guilt.

No judgment.

Just a cleaner yard and one less thing on your to-do list. 🩷🐾

🩷 Why my customers love Matter of Doody:
✔️ Contactless, faceless service—you don’t even have to be home!
✔️ Easy monthly online invoicing and payment.
✔️ Fast responses when you have questions or need to schedule.
✔️ Text message before I arrive and after I’m finished.
✔️ Photo confirmation of your securely latched gate (if requested).
✔️ Clean equipment and attention to detail—because your yard deserves it!

I’d love to help make one more thing disappear from your weekly to-do list! 🐾

📢 Attention, Neighborhood Cats…

I’d like to speak to whoever keeps telling you that Mrs. Johnson’s flower beds are a community litter box!!

They’re NOT!! 😡

Your little midnight bathroom breaks leave behind more than just an unpleasant surprise 💩

Cat waste can linger in mulch, gardens, landscaping rocks, and flower beds, making it less enjoyable (and less sanitary) for everyone else 🤮

The good news?

I will clean up after you!😸

Most people know I scoop dog p**p, but did you know I ALSO clean up cat waste from yards, flower beds, landscaping, and anywhere those sneaky little “yard tigers” decide to do their business??!!

So, if the neighborhood cats have unofficially adopted your yard… send me a message!

I’ll take care of the mess, even if the cats refuse to pay their share. 🐾😂

Another Ground Zero Transformation!

Today’s yard belonged to 4 dogs… and let’s just say they had very strong opinions about where they preferred to leave their “gifts.” 🤦‍♀️

They like to put their deposits on the concrete surrounding the family pool and grilling area as well as throughout the rock beds. (If you’ve ever tried to scoop p**p out of landscaping rocks, you know that’s basically an archaeological dig!)

The homeowner just needed it to get back to normal so it was manageable and so they could enjoy their patio and pool without the pups “masterpieces” in the way.

They gave me permission to share these before-and-after photos, and I promised I would do it in a way that just highlights how overwhelming it can be to try to keep up with the cute and furry doody makers!

The good news? I love a crappy challenge! 💩😆

I’ll crawl through the rocks, pull on the rubber gloves, hunt down every last landmine I can find, and get your yard back to Ground Zero. I’ll separate the rocks out and hand pick the doody if I need to! I’ll sweep and leaf blow the area after I’ve scooped so it looks clean and fresh!

And, can we please all take a second to appreciate this transformation?! 🙌

I was pretty proud of this one, and more importantly, the homeowner felt some relief of not having to deal with the doody in their rocks….at least for today!

If your yard has gotten a little… enthusiastic… don’t be embarrassed. I’ve seen it all, and I promise I’m way more interested in helping than judging 👊🏻

📩 Message today if you find yourself in a similar sh*t-u-ation (hey…..it’s my business, I can make all the poo jokes I want!) 💩🐾
