❤️ Our beautiful Hengrave ❤️
15 July 2014 – 20 October 2026 🌈
Yesterday, Camp Monahan lost one of its most loved residents. Our sweet Hengrave passed away peacefully in his sleep, curled up in his beloved Cozy Cave.
For 12 years and 3 months, Hengrave was part of our family and a familiar face to so many dogs who came to stay at Camp Monahan.
He was the boy with the big personality, incredible speed and a heart condition that should have shortened his life. But Hengrave had other plans! In his younger days, he was always leading the pack, chasing squirrels and getting into mischief.
As he grew older, he was happiest soaking up the sunshine, watching the visiting dogs play and enjoying the comforts of home.
So many dogs have come through our doors over the years, and Hengrave was always part of their Camp Monahan experience.
We’ve now said goodbye to Ellie, Gabby and Hengrave, three very special members of our original pack. I’d like to think they’re all together again, running free, with Hengrave leading the way as always.
Camp Monahan won’t be quite the same without him, but what an incredible 12 years we had together.
We kindly ask for a few days to catch our breath and grieve before taking on any new enquiries or bookings. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we adjust to life without our beautiful boy.
Run free, Hengrave. You will always be part of Camp Monahan. ❤️🐾🌈
