DID YOU KNOW...Turtles can feel their shell being touched?! How cool is that? This is our sulcata tortoise, Lucky enjoying being sprayed on his rump.

Their shells are living parts of their bodies made of bone and blood vessels, with nerve endings that connect straight to their central nervous system. They can sense pressure, temperature, scratches, and pain through the shell.
