Life ain’t perfect. It never goes exactly the way you want it to, and Lord knows mine sure hasn’t.
I spent a lot of years in a marriage where I felt like I couldn’t do anything. There was no drive, no adventure, no desire to get up and build something or make a difference.
But this man right here? ❤️
Yeah, he’s older than me. People may have something to say about that, and quite frankly, I don’t really care.
Because this man can work me tenfold—and if you know me, you know I work pretty damn hard. 😂
Does he grind my nerves? Absolutely.
Does he talk too much sometimes? Lord, YES.
Does he sometimes talk so much he doesn’t even make sense anymore? 100%. 😂
But he also puts 150% into our relationship, 180% into our rescue, and 190% into this farm and the life we are building together.
He doesn’t just tell me he believes in my dreams—he gets up beside me every single day and helps me build them.
We’ve been tired. We’ve struggled. We’ve had days when everything seemed to go wrong. But somehow, we keep getting up, working harder, loving these animals, and building something that means more to me than I can put into words.
The older I get, the more I realize that God doesn’t always put you where you thought you were supposed to be.
Sometimes He takes you through the hard stuff first.
And then one day, you look around at the man beside you, the animals depending on you, the farm you’ve built together, and the life you never imagined you would have…
and realize:
God put me exactly where I’m supposed to be. ❤️
