Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

It is with heartfelt gratitude and a great deal of reflection that we share the news that we have made the decision to close our doors. Our practice will officially close on October 15th, 2026.

After many years of caring for the wonderful pets and families in Cedar Grove and the surrounding communities, we have decided that it is time for us to take a step back and dedicate more time to our own family. 

You have welcomed us into your families and entrusted us with the care of your beloved companions, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. Over the years, we have shared so many special moments together—from welcoming new puppies and kittens into your families to caring for your pets through their senior years. It has been an honor to be there for both the joyful moments and the challenging ones, and we will always cherish the relationships we have built with you and your pets.

We understand that transitioning your pet’s veterinary care is an important part of this process, and we want to make this transition as smooth as possible for you and your pets.

Our last day seeing patients will be October 15th, 2026. Following our closure, we will continue to assist with medication refills, and online prescriptions through November 25th, 2026.

We encourage you to begin making arrangements with another veterinary practice for your pet’s ongoing and future medical needs.

Your pet’s medical records can be transferred to the veterinarian of your choice upon your request. Please contact us at 973-239-1062 (until 11/25/2026) or email us at [email protected]. 

We want to sincerely thank you for your trust, your support, and for allowing us to be a part of your families for so many years. Caring for your pets has been more than a profession—it has been a true honor and privilege.

Due to an unexpected air conditioning issue, our office will be closing early today to ensure the comfort and well-being of both our clients and patients.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital. If you have an appointment affected by our early closure, a member of our team will reach out to reschedule as soon as possible.

"An Air Quality Alert has been issued for parts of the Tri-State area due to wildfire smoke. Poor air quality can affect both people and pets, especially those with underlying respiratory or heart conditions.

Pets at higher risk include:
🐶 Flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds such as Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, Boxers, and Shih Tzus
🐕 Senior pets, puppies, and kittens
🫁 Pets with asthma, collapsing trachea, heart disease, or other respiratory conditions

To help protect your pet:
🐾 Limit walks and outdoor exercise until air quality improves.
🏠 Keep pets indoors as much as possible with windows and doors closed.
💧 Ensure fresh water is always available.
👀 Watch for coughing, wheezing, excessive panting, eye irritation, unusual lethargy, or difficulty breathing.

If your pet develops difficulty breathing or other concerning symptoms, seek veterinary care promptly.

Before heading outside, check your local Air Quality Index (AQI). If the air isn't healthy for you, it isn't healthy for your pets either.

Stay safe and take extra precautions while wildfire smoke impacts our region."

Please be advised that due to a death in our family, our office will be temporarily closed from Monday July 6th to Wednesday July 8th.

Due to the significant snowfall and the need for snow cleaning in our parking lot and walkways, our office will have a delayed opening today. ❄️
